I haven't commented much but been following your thread from the start, very good informative thread with no fights and lots of info, I think Forum Boss should consider it for a sticky thread,
Wayne.
Yes I have always felt that 100 yards was to get things close and then you needed to go to the distance you were shooting to fine tune the load, I only compete at 1000 yards, I am busy building round pens and ranch work right now, I missed my match this weekend because of work and weddings but when I start working up loads for my new 6brdx I am going to try and impliment some of the stuff I have been reading on here, I may have to p.m you with a question or two,...thanks again.Erik Cortina said:bozo699 said:Erik,

tell us Erik how to find the lands accurately. I want to know if I'm doing it rightErik Cortina said:Dgd6mm said:Erik,
Bravo on your thread, great information. This request is a little off topic, but could you post your brass and bullet prep procejure before you start to test? Providing that there is any, which I assume there is. I'm just trying to get MY DUCKS in a row to build the most accurate ammo that I'm capable of.
Thanks.

Don, I will probably start another thread in the future about brass prep. Heck, I might do a thread on every aspect of precision reloading as I know it.
I believe the next one should be about finding the lands accurately though, as I see people are all over the place on this issue.

Not trying to hijack the thread, because I intend to try your style of testing the loads that come the node spread. I want to how well it works for me. Now if your not interested in what I come up with, I won't post it.

That sounds like a good 1000y loading. How does the BC compare to 6mm or 6.5mm, and what range of velocity are you running?
(I'm interested in a future 22BR that is why I ask).
