probably any SMALL town down south. I live in southeast Ga love and I love it, plenty of churchs of your preferance everyone like one big family, however stsy away of the Atlanta area that's another state!!!!!!!

I look at them like a plague of locusts. Come in, ruin things, then move on elsewhere.

Spanish peaks, La Veta pass area, the wind does blow quite a bit. Almost moved to Canon City area, but was there for two months in geology field camp and decided to look elsewhere. You might like the Trinidad area, down next to the NM/CO state line. Florence is near Canon City, you might look there.
Unfortunately, where I moved, has kind of been "discovered" and its not quite the quiet town I moved to 30+ years ago but I live just outside of town, so its pretty quiet. So far at least.
If I had to move out of Colorado, it probably would be to some other place with mountains, Ozarks (SE KS, MO or AR) or Kentucky, but other half vetos that!!!

Yesterday the Minneapolis marathon was "black flagged" cancelled due to temperature. The race organization claimed this was following "military" recommendations on physical activity. One problem the military sets 90 degrees as a black flag, temp at race time 75, noon (about 2hrs after the would have been first finisher 85) high for the day 86. There is something very wrong in Minnesota.

I hope and pray you're right, but I suspect that mob ruins places and then moves on to their next victim like boll weevils. Look at what happened to such beautiful states like Washington and Oregon.
All you have to do is look whats going on in W. Montana and N.Idaho, just look at the Jail rosters everyday and Google were these people are coming from its far from
"all conservatives " moving in.

Lakeview Oregon is an extremely gun friendly and Conservative small town located in the low humidity, thinly populated area of South central Oregon. The former mayor led the effort to put in a shooting range on town property. Present mayor is is also a gun club member and helps put on events at the range where membership costs $25 per year. Several of our local ministers are also club members. The chair of the county commissioners has an FFL, the chief of police was my co chair for our Friends of NRA fund raisers and the county sheriff usually heads up the kitchen staff for our local gun shows. The 16' tall signs representing a cowboy holding a six shooter over his head and welcoming people to Lakeview were found to violate state highway height regulations so they were moved to the fairgrounds. However the local Safeway still has a smaller version in their parking lot.
We have good deer hunting and lots of varmints in the form of ground squirrels and coyotes. There is no state sales tax. You can also purchase a home and ten acres or more (for your own back door shooting range -- which many of us have) for less than the price of a house alone in most places. The county often has the highest percentage of high school graduates going on to college of any county in the state.

Sounds like the best place EVER. You've got my vote.

Texas packed with illegals.
US has most fucked up immigration policy, at least top five worst in world. Years ago, we had policy where Mexicans were allowed in for several months at a time to do seasonal work. Nowadays, 90% of the construction work is done by Hispanics. Most US workers don't know how to do construction and and the other half don't want to do construction. Cluster fuck. I live in Texas so I am basing my statement on what I see. Other states may be different.
Not here

Stay away rich/woke crowds

Mn, sanctuary state( with Drivers License privileges now) 11 illegals picked up for raping minors in Bemidji. Next year they will have registration/voting rights.

I wouldn't recommend anyone moving to NYS, where I've lived all of my life. But I did find one silver lining when I retired. The first year that I did my taxes, post-retirement, my accountant didn't account for any NYS taxes. I presumed that he made a mistake, but he informed me that despite my sizable income, I had no state tax liability. No tax on my pension, no tax on my SS benefits, no tax on my municipal bonds and no tax on my personal 457plan.

When you are accustomed to having the crap taxed out of yourself in NY, it sure was a pleasant surprise.
