What Is Your Every Day Carry Handgun?

My carry piece is a Kel-Tec PF9 with the belt clip. Small, reliable, durable and ugly. I like that one for carry because it tucks comfortably inside the waistband at any location on your body and looks like a simple knife clip on the belt. You can carry with your shirt tucked in and no one is the wiser.

Glock 19, 1911, S&W mod 19 snubbie. Lately, I have been looking at other options to reduce size and weight due to having bladder cancer surgery. Fortunately, it was caught early so, they didn't have to remove it. Undergoing treatments now
You are one of the lucky ones. Mine was caught early but way too aggressive to stop, tried for almost 4 years.

If you're going to go with a stainless S&W 38 revolver, you might as well bump that to a .357 to gain the extra versatility. The only difference is that the cylinder is .125" longer. I have a model 60 in 357. It was my first handgun. My officers model 1911 was easier and more comfortable to conceal. I like revolvers, but the cylinders make them really thick.
yeah, I like the officers model. old school

been a little too calm in this thread..... I hate the Glock trigger. I would only carry that pistol in full LE/combat situation. And then it would be one of my first choices!! I am a DA trigger fan, as in Sig P226 and the like.

What is your every day carry handgun? And what are the situation or circumstances when you do not carry a pistol?

As a general rule of thumb i don't carry unless i am going to the range or walking around the property.
everything gets left at home if going to the shops. i don't really want to draw undue attention if possible.
Either left shoulder carry of .22 TCM in 1911A2 or .40 S&W in CZ 40P. The point is speed over weight. Both can be devastating with their speed.

It depends on where I am going, what I am wearing. Situational awareness is everything when the town you live in is a live fire area 24/7. A couple years ago we were only feet away from a live fire altercation outside a gun show, (guess where I now carry as well). The majority of the time it is either my Sig 320 in 45acp or S&W Shield in 45acp as well. Also have a little CZ 45 in 25acp for deep carry.

Open carry here in Kentucky is seen everyday, IMO mostly done by those who are not trained or not familiar with carrying most anything especially a firearm.

I don't worry too much about how much my bullets will expand, I just carry ample supply to make up the difference.

Just my .02

You mean DA/SA on the 226?

interesting story I bet.

In my vehicle, I have a 2 1/2 inch barrel Smith & Wesson Model 19, but with 38+P in it. I do adhere to the State Law in this practice.

My wife carry’s a Glock 43. She has a Concealed Carry Permit.

As a side note, even though Texas now has what we call Constitutional Carry, I am yet to see anybody outside of a Law Enforcement entity openly carrying a weapon in a public setting.
Constitutional carry and open carry are only periphially related. Constitutional carry, for the most part, is concerning concealed carry.

To the question, Kahr PM9 or P380.

Kahr CW9 iwb and a 22mag NAA in a Desantis pocket holster always loaded with Speer but my personal testing is a soft point will probably give more reliable expansion. Also a Taurus TCP in an ankle holster which I don't have a pic of.
