How often should mags or mag springs be replaced or does that not apply to modern magazines?

How often should mags or mag springs be replaced or does that not apply to modern magazines?

I replace the ones in my 1911 mags every 2500 cycles.
Compression cycles is what wears out springs. IE: If you load a magazine & let it sit for 10 years, you still only have 1 cycle.
