how about some CONTEXT to the questionFirst or second focal plane?
What are you mile shooters using and why?
Thanks
Bill
actually the 5-40x 40 mm tube is much better ...well cause i have one..reach out to 2000, but the subject is one mile . i have had zero luck with atacr's, but the the nf 5.5-22 did dine at a mileReally hard to beat a Valdada G2 Recon 4.8-30x56 FFP MOA scope. 40 mm tube and 150 MOA elevation adjustment! Unbelievable! Holdovers are always the same scale and are super fine so “fat” crosshair isn’t an issue. Possibly get you to 2000 yards without more than a 20 or 30 moa base.
did you notice, he asked about ONE MILE, not elr nor ko2, you reply would appear to be out of context. The best riflescope for ELR at the moment, is the March Genesis scope, either the 6-60X56 or the 4-40X52. They are both FFP designs. The 6-60X56 has 400MOA of elevation available, 114MIL; 100MIL of up elevation and 14MIL of down elevation. The problem with some riflescope designs that have more adjustment range than usual, is the loss of IQ as the reticle moves away from the optical center of the scope. The beauty of the Genesis design is that you're always looking through the center of its Super ED glassed optical path.
These scopes are used for the King of 2 miles and other such ELR endeavors.
They are pricey, but then again, "ELR" and "cheap" are words that, if used in a sentence, have to be separated with a "not".
So if it's good at ELR or 2 miles, that makes it no good at 1 mile ???? I'm not seeing why. Enlighten medid you notice, he asked about ONE MILE, not elr nor ko2, you reply would appear to be out of context.
