Favorite war movies. What's yours?

Yes I certainly have. ‘Meat grinder’
Is the correct word choice.
You are also correct about ‘’BlackJack’ Pershing. Pershing refused to let any American soldiers be under foreign military leaders.
Interesting is how American soldiers were treated when they returned home. Eventually camping in home made shelters outside the White House the Great General Douglas MacArthur, having orders to evict them, he took it upon himself to burn all their shelters. He is also 100% responsible for the disastrous December 8, 1941 destruction of the Philippine attack by the Japanese. ‘Medal of Honor’ recipient for ‘what’ courageous action? Deserting his men and letting them endure the Bataan death march?
That's right... the allies actually wanted control over them. Just imagine how that certain slaughter would be viewed today.

I have many issues with many generals of WWII... and Nimitz. But I've come to accept that things would have probably turned out much different if caring about life was their top priority. And that has been hard to accept. I'm not justifying anything at all though.

A real nightmare is Admiral Ernest King, in charge of the Atlantic seaboard and responsible for many merchant seaman’s deaths due to incompetence.
Then punch in to your computer Congressman Andrew Jackson May. He’s an eye opener probably responsible for 800 submariners deaths due to a big stupid mouth.

Battle of Britain is without question one of the very best aerial combat movies ever made.
