Masters of the Air on apple tv is well done. worth the watch. great bomber combat. it is a series so not over yet. Not many modern war moves made that are worth watching. This is.

A classic east african hunting - safari - war movie is 'Shout at the Devil' Lee Marvin & Roger Moore. 1976 not re-mastered. Wilbur Smith novel.

anyone ever see 'where eagles dare'? 1968 burton, eastwood and good brit acors. great setting. aaa flick 2 1/2 hrs long - all suspense no filler. classic sound track based on alistair mclean novel. i rewatch it every 5 yrs or so with gusto!
The movie is pretty good, a young Clint Eastwood.

First saw him in the 2nd Creature From the Black Lagoon movie and look for him as the jet pilot that kills the Tarantula.

Guns of Navarone
Historical background

The Greek island of Navarone does not exist and the plot is fictional, but the story takes place within the real historical context of the Dodecanese Campaign, the Allies' campaign to capture the Italian-held Greek islands in the Aegean Sea in 1943.
