Favorite war movies. What's yours?

I've started watching an old black and white TV series on You Tube called the Silent Service. It was a 30 minute show with commercials, but You Tube doesn't play the commercials, so they are like 26 minutes. Good for people like me with a short attention span.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, as I haven't waded through the entire thread, but:

A sleeper that I ran across accidentally was called "Memorial Day" with James Cromwell, his son John, and Jonathan Bennett. Interesting and touching multi-generational type movie. Shows up on various streaming channels at times.

I have read through 4 or 5 pages of this thread and in that I never saw a mention of the true story of Audey Murphey The youngest vet to receive the medal of Honor, and he stared in the movie To Hell and Back. It is really an old movie and of course they didn't have the technology to do things that they do now in movies, but still a great movie.
Of course I have enjoyed or should I say endured the action and stories of most of the movies that I have seen listed here. You just can't enjoy seeing action like that. Thanks for your service to all the Vets here.
