Both located in the land of libs. (Illinois)
They can ship to other state.

Haven't had a Registered Match in the State since that I know of.

Ammo cannot be shipped to your home here in NY. I haven't bought ammo in decades so I'm not sure what the current rules are for purchase. I read recently that the Dems were proposing legislation that would limit ammo purchases for "assault weapons" to 20 rounds every 120 days.

How many tons of illegal narcotics cross our southern border every month? And these yahoos think they can actually remove "assault weapons" from the market? Maybe that's their goal? Create an even larger black market trade in banned firearms to further line their pockets? (C'mon you KNOW that there are folks in DC with a financial interest in narcotics trafficking. Supposedly last years matches were sanctioned.
I don't know if all the paperwork really got done.

there is currently no permit to buy ammo statewide. Maybe downstate.
There is a background check requirement passed but the implementation is stalled.
Currently I buy cases online, ship to my ffl and they log my identifying info when I pick it up.
Stupid infringement but practically not that bad.

We did just this summer get a permit/license required to buy a semiauto rifle including 22s.
For me it's just a one time endorsement on my existing handgun license.
For the new generation it's a months long background check process.

In typical random idiocy an unlicensed new yorker can now buy a semi-automatic 12g shotgun but not a semi-auto 22LR rifle.

Retard from brooklyn submitted a bill that one can only buy 20 rounds of 'assault rifle ammunition' per some time period.
There is no technical definition of assault rifle ammo!
There is also an explicit guarantee that we can still buy non assault weapon ammo.
So apparently it would be 'honor system'.
If I say my 200 round case of 223 is for an assault weapon I can't have it.
If I say it's for my bolt gun I can.
It's probably too stupid even for ny but lately we can never be sure.

Probably the owners of present Sporting Rifles will be able to keep them-grandfathered
But no new productions of said arms
They might request/demand the rifle be registered in a state database , but based on NY experience very few register them under the SAFE act.
Now in my county of NY you must get a permit from PD to purchase any semiautomatic rifle. This is even if you have a handgun permit for target or hunting.

That is a problem for me. The constitution never said anything about any permits...

I’m thinking not. Xcaliber barrel has no gas port or gas block shoulder. Gibbz side charger has no gas tube to it. Recoil impulse from 300blk doesn’t have enough force to cycle the bolt. Bob Sled single shot adapter only holds one round. Seems to be a single shot bolt gun to me…. Just sayin.

I built it during Obama years when it seemed a ban was coming. It may or may not stand a test, it wouldn’t if there was a gassed upper available. I believe that would be intent. I’m not a lawyer, I just have common sense. Plus, it’s enjoyable to shoot and pretty accurate.
