Which Dog makes the best shop,, life, shooting companion?

GSRX, looks like Mona is taking to the sleeve nicely. My Presa Canario male took to a sleeve on his first try and released on command the first time!! OOSSS

Best dog I ever had was a Lassie look alike. Beautiful, smart, obediant, LOYAL, Trooper was all anyone could want as a companion/buddy/friend. He's been gone for many years now and I still miss him.

Border Collie. We had Babe for 14 years. The absolute epitome of love. She loved us all no matter what anyone else ever thought.

Here is my Lab named Gilbert. My 6 year old daughter will use him as a pillow and Gilbert loves it. All he wants is to please and protect his family! Couldn't ask for a better dog. He truly is part of our family!

Another Plus for Aussie's,
they'll anything you want them to do,
great with kids/babies etc,
very protective when anything threatens their pack,
will hunt/herd anything you want to do,
and with a college degree in smarts,
60+ yrs of learning from them.

Same thing for the Border Collies.

4 pages about dogs on a gun forum, tells a lot about the people here !!!
mine was (adam ) a golden for 14 years.. best friend you could have

I think that "being owned" by a dog does say a lot about a person. I know for a fact that our lives are bigger and mobetta because of them. They are indeed one of Gods oldest and best gifts. jd

When I was a kid I had ( as close as I can tell) an English Shepherd named Duke. He made to 15. We have a English Springer now that's a close second. Meg will be 16 in June. Barlow

View attachment 977300 I've had a golden and they are great dogs/companions, but a friend that used to raise and train English setters once told me that English setters have awesome personalities. They make great gun dogs and even better companions. After getting this one as a pup 7 years ago, I realized he is right. This dog is as close to a human as I've ever seen.

Yep! I have had 5 English setters, I love to grouse hunt, and they are the best.

Bacon N Eggs and I at the cabin taking a nap after a long day of fishing. Paws like a bear, a chest the size of a pickle barrel, and a mouth full of teeth like a wolf. A wonderful companion.

I have an American Pitbull Terrier.. He's like Old Yeller except has a red nose with his red/tan body.. He has a white patch the shape of the state of Texas on the back of his neck.. He likes to bark at shooting guns and it's sometimes a pain in the ars...

My mouse hound, Coppertone. She's an American Red Short Hair (Cat). She never barks, sleeps on my head, no walking required, and she stays home when I go to shooting, so there are no distractions on the range. At home, when I sit, I have a cat in my lap within one minute.

Loyal? To a a fault...

I live in Houston, so the heat is an issue. A short hair house lapdog is my favorite

A grouse hunter!!! gosh I wish I still had the legs! Hunted over a friends English several times. Woodcock and grouse. Limited once on both with a 410 model 42. I give credit to the dog.

Well, I guess if I post a pic, being a gun forum and all, it better have a gun, along with the dog, right? Will this do? (this was from several years ago so both Sierra and I have put on a few pounds and gotten a few more miles on us. Still have they Palma rifle though and that one doesnt have many "miles")
