What grain bullet or gun to see bullet hits at 100 yards at 24x

Sorry the post was a bit confusing. I did fix the issue with a A2 Stock + 1.7 pounds of Steel BBs in compartment + Overbore bipod. Gun is around 15 pounds now. I can see the bullet holes as they form at 100 yard target at 24x.
I could with my .204s and 17 caliber wsm. Now I can with this 223.

The issue was the scope/gun would jump just enough that the view of the target would jump just enough that it was not longer centered in the scope after the shot. I used the same scope on all guns at same power so it was apples to apples comparison.

I would have to say .17 and 204 ruger are superior to my 223 in terms of that particular power. Those are bolts though my 223 is a AR and the bolt action seems to induce more movement. A little weight fixes it and if I want to go obnoxious loud a muzzle break. I think the best 223 combo would be a suppressor + weight.

Sorry about the AMD you have. Hopefully its Dry AMD and not the wet form. Sometimes its worse in only one eye with the other eye still 20/20 Va. No smoking it only accelerates it.
Unfortunately the MDA is in both eyes and wet in the shooting (right eye) I have been getting eye injections for almost two years to slow the progression, each month, at almost $4000 per injection per month for one eye. This is the best medicine they have and it finally stopped most of the bleeding, but the eye will always be permanently damaged, and another infection in November, spaced out a little longer 1.5 to 2 months the last two times. I have really bad vision in my right eye and can not read or identify people if I close one eye. There is a large dark irregular circle in tbe center, where no lines are straight, and things apper on a different plane. I still shoot with this eye, and sometimes turn a good group with the at 27X Vortex Razor ..I don't know how I do it.
But sun light on the target, and shooting from the shade is where I do best, as it puts alot of light on the target. But I can't see the bullet holes at 27X even 30 cal at 100 yds. All the mil lines and crosshairs are very wavy and distorted. They curve both up and down...making long range adjustments a challenge. Thanks for your concern, and every shooter who notices that their crosshairs look a little distorted, should immediately see their vision specialist. I caught it early, but if it turns wet you can go blind in 28 days without injections in the eye, and the cheaper injection doesn't work, start with the $4000 injection per eye, insurance covers 80% so this will cut into your shooting hobby. But it doesn't matter if your blind, plus all the other negatives like losing your driver's license. I'm very thankful I have one eye I can read with and see to drive...I have to look at a special eye chart every morning, incase it goes south over night, and call for an emergency appointment. This is a very serious of eye condition and the leading cause of blindness for older people...please be aware for your own sake early detection buys time for the treatment to intervene and slow the nonreversal blindness progression.
Enjoy your shooting endeavors, everytime your out...I try to be encourage others rather than push my ideas, or opinions...but that's hard for an opinionated grumpy old man, who can barely see..."full of" all those life experiences... ya know..
Have a good day.

I think you are doing great keep enjoying the sport. Keep viewing the amsler grid for changes. I know a thing or two about AMD.

If it was a "bolt gun", it would have to weight just at 20+ pounds.
I'am running close to 16+ pounds shooting a bench gun in my wildcat
"20 MGM" (shortened 22TCM) and anything closer than 100 yards , you can't see the hits. I'am running a fixed 36 power scope. Maybe a 25 pound rig would work? OR, back down to a 15 scope?
