Teslong Bore Scope

I ordered the WIFI model from Amazon at the end of November. Had an in stock date of December 4th. The order was fulfilled on the 2nd and I received it on the 4th.

We’ll see how it stacks up against the hawkeye. Ill give it a good try instead of breaking out the hawkeye for menial tasks. I dont really have to study my cleaning methods but do have to show others theirs dont work. Not everybody can just walk up and see thru a hawkeye very well

I've seen enough to say it's a no-brainer purchase. I'm buying the wifi when available and giving my Lyman to a collector friend who doesn't have a borescope.

Dusty, I’ve never used the Hawkeye. I’m a surgical assistant and I use scopes extensively for laparoscopic and arthroscopic procedures that utilize a video system. VERY expensive. In comparison to those, obviously, focus is more challenging. The optical quality is not as good as surgical scopes or what I would suspect the Hawkeye to be, but the image quality on the teslong is more of optical, unlike a digital Lyman. There simply is no comparison between the teslong and Lyman. The lighting on these systems are led, unlike surgical scope systems which use fiber optic lighting, so the light is not as diffused as it should be. If I had the choice of using the Teslong or a surgical grade scope system, especially to just check cleaning or “show and tell”, I wouldn’t bother with the expensive lens. I also don’t have to be quite as careful with the teslong as I have to be with a ridged scope. Once you get the focal length and locking ring figured out - you’ll enjoy being able to watch it on your iPad, take photos/videos and I think it’s cool that it’s long enough to place it through the bore and see a chambered case.

From what I can see, the Hawkeye can adjust the focus. I can't with the Teslong (or too stupid to figure it out). That being said, the picture is sharp, clear and bright for my .223 bore and will simultaneously give me a side and down the bore view. It is a bit of a pain to rotate the wire, though

Yes you can.

You lengthen the mirror by unscrewing it.

@Fotheringill
The amount the mirror is screwed on the probe, is the focus adjustment on the Teslong 100's.
Lens to mirror relationship ... same thing as with your Hawkeye.

More specifically, the focus on a Hawkeye can be adjusted while the unit is in the bore (i.e. in use). The Teslong must be removed from the bore and the focus adjusted on the threaded lens/mirror assembly. I have not found the Teslong to be super-sensitive to focus adjustment, which is good. In my hands it has been possible to find an intermediate focus adjustment that seems to work very well with both .224" and .308" barrels.

Finally had a chance to hook mine up and look down some barrels.

All that I can say is that I'm glad that I sold my Hawkeye before these came out. This scope shows me everything that I need to see, crisp, clear, and remote on my iPad.

Back in stock at Amazon, mine is on the way as a Christmas present from my Girlfriend.:)
Will have to look inside that old .243 barrel that had over 2500 rounds down it before throwing them off the target at 600 yds.
