Teslong bore scope

I have the wifi version and I’m not getting the sharp focus you guys are. Is there a method I’m missing?

edit: disregard, I found it

Someone here mentioned that viewing chambered cases for length clearance is possible. Why, yes it is. Both are WW 7mm-08 cases measured at 2.025 and 2.035. The chamber measures at allowing a case of 2.050 with no end clearance. I used the famous F. Schuster (RIP) case ring method of measuring that.

You could do this with a Hawkeye if you drilled out the primer pocket.:D

That’s just pretty dang cool!
I thought the Wireless Teslong was a ways down on my wishlist, but maybe not now.

I found a scrapped case that was 2.045 length, pretty close to the end of chamber neck. This was a R-P case with 18 firings and no cosmetic cleaning ever. Lots of carbon in the boiler room. I also wrapped the mirror body with electrical tape to keep it consistently centered and in focus when looking in my 7mm bores. Easily removed when looking at smaller bores.

Have weighed cases before and after thorough internal cleaning (ultra-sonic) to see how much carbon/fouling can get built up inside a case. Have removed up to 0.6-grains from cases that had several cycles between thorough internal cleaning. Just something that easily can get over-looked, that effects case capacities, and that your pictures show well !.!.!

Yup, this is why I decided to wet tumble with SS pins after 3-4 firings. This tumbling does a very good job of removing that build up.

I should be ashamed of myself, but I am not.:D There will now probably be a sales spike on Thumblers units and SS pins. They will run out of LemiShine, too.:)

The history on that case was always 38.0 grs. Varget pushing a 130 gr. SMK, a fairly mild target load. It got trimmed back to 2.025 only two times. It was neck sized with a light shoulder bump for all but two sizing's. It was FL sized twice at different intervals. At FL sizing, tapping the case will dump out flakes of loosened carbon. I scrapped the 100 pc. lot due to imminent head crack rings developing on a few. Bright spots, not cracks. I get good mileage from my brass with lighter loads.

I don't need clean shiny ammo for my type of competition shooting, metallic silhouette. No question that the internal carbon scale is contributing to the high pressure abrasion of the throat. No big deal to me. My chrome moly barrels stay silhouette competition accurate for 4000 shots, SS will go 6000 or more. Barrels are cheap to replace factoring in how long they last.

The cartridge in the photo is a WW 7mm-08 with 20 firings on it now, same load as above with same loading process. My only external cleaning, prior to sizing, is rotating the neck against a motor driven fine wire cup brush. The blackened necks are free of loose carbon and are more darkened from chemical reactions with the brass. It has no measurable film thickness and will come right off with Brasso polish if I choose to do so. Nah. My ugly cartridges still win me trophies.

OK...let's put the severity of this carbon scale into perspective. I sprinkled a few grains of H4350 in that case for size comparison. I do not know the magnification value of this bore scope, but I have a question in about that to my dear friend Joanna at Teslong in the ROC.;)

Bob - where'd you get the albino 4350? ;)

Seriously, your clever and creative use of the borescope is very refreshing. Keep it up!

:) That's a fresh can I just opened loading .338 Win. the other day. Must be the LED light.

Yep, all that creativity is why I will be the Teslong salesman of the year.

All I know is.. the wifi version disappeared off my Amazo.. I mean Santa wish list sometime before it went out of stock. *fingers crossed. Ive been a really good boy this year*

Well, Joanna got back to me with an answer. Not sure if it was a language misunderstanding between us but here is what she sent. I asked her for the approximate magnification value. No matter, it meet our needs nicely.:)

As a former Hawkeye owner I know that scope magnifies about 30X per the manufacturer.

The Teslong is all of that value.

It is camera.The closer,the bigger.
Not magnification function.
We have 10mm,30-60mm,10mm-100m focus length probe.
It depends your needs to choose which probe.
Thank you.
