If you pay with a card there is a 3% fee. If PP drafts from a bank account or from your PP fu ds there is no fee for either party.

Well....there it is. I don’t sell things that would put money in my account. I WOULD NEVER link my PayPal account to my bank account.
I don’t do online banking, either!

The common denominator here seems to be pay pal. Go back to MO, or cashiers check, ship when clear. Also write any serial numbers down of what you ship so if returned it is the same object.
Paypal is easy, but can be sketchy, I like it, but always aware.
I had a deal go south, guy, on here I think, PP'd me money, details escape me, but I hit refund his money, whoa, took 10 or 11 days for him to get his money. Deal was not that sour, and I ended up wishing I had just paid him instead of the refund thing.

I sent a couple out this week to friends and just reviewed my account....NO FEES.
I have NEVER been charged a fee on a F&F.

Mine is a "business" account so maybe that is the difference.

I use my credit card on PayPal. I figure that if I get burned on a large purchase, I’ll deny the credit card purchase and let them battle it out. Might not work but it makes me feel better.

That is excellent advice Boss. I give my phone number to all buyers when auction is complete, and won't deal with someone at an online forum that won't provide a phone number. The problem is, I cant record phone calls. An email provides a nice record if you need something to fall back on.

Sorry Big Daddy but the sender pays the fee for “friends and family”. I’ve paid it a few times.

I believe if you use a bank account for the source of funds there is no fee. If you use a debit or credit card there is a fee.
At least that was how it worked for me last week.

Thats exactly right. Mine is linked to my debit card because it sends the money instantly. With the checking acct as your funds it does not send instantly

Scammers are alive and well on G......r.com. I have an long gun for sale there. One pic I have it sitting in a homemade cleaning cradle.

Sure pal, for the buy it now price. Probably from Nigeria.

Had the ebay scam pulled on me too. Said the item wasn't as described. ebay wanted me to refund. I called them and told them no way, item was as described as I had multiple other photos I could send them to verify it. They didn't ding me but the guy got his stuff for free. I'm sure he sold it. Nice way to double free money.

Unfortunate, but it's the same as on here. Members on sale sites with little to no trade history can be risky.

I definitely see what you guys are talking about and I would be apprehensive also but I recently tried to sell a couple sets of dies with hundreds of views not one single reply they were cheap I feel it was due to my trade history on this site but how does one get trade history I have sold a used barrel one time on accurate Shooter and I have positive feedback from 13red56 but I don’t sell very often it’s kind of a quandary.

Bought from an ebayer that advertised a 25 Sharps reamer just resharpened. Sold "as is". Tried to cut a chamber with reamer and something was not right.............more like a 6x45 reamer.
Told seller it was not a 25 Sharps reamer and I would send back for refund as it was not as advertised..a 25 Sharps reamer. Went to e-Bay arbitration and I showed them a hole I reamed in a 1/2 aluminum plate with the "25 Sharps and then one with my 6x45 with a case installed. Wrote a 500 word essay on how reamers work and why this was NOT a 25 Sharps as advertised. They agreed and refunded my money and asked me NOT to give the butt sniffin seller a bad review. I told them OK and put him on my "No Way" list.
The guy bought from a gunsmith estate and really had no idea what was going on. If you don't know what you're talking about, just leave it alone. All the good reamers were probably already gone. Now I buy reamers here, Grizzly, PTA.

Number 1 way to verify sales (on either side) is talking to the person live, by voice, on the telephone.

In every single problem case I have assisted with in 2019, where issue was with the buyer, the Seller had NOT talked to the buyer, live, by voice, on the Telephone.

Pick up the phone guys!!!

I do thousands of dollars of sales on Ebay. I am a preferred seller on Ebay. I have been for a long time (I have been selling on ebay for 8 years)

Ebay says the customer is always right. Pretty much across the board. Ebay also now has tools to make sure people who make refund claims MUST return the product if you as the seller request it.

Ebay has been pretty darn amazing to me. They called me TWICE today making sure I was getting paid using the new NON PAYPAL system. Which has been incredible. I love it.

I spoke to several specialists on Ebay in the last weeks and they are distancing themselves from PayPal, as they are no longer compatible. Ebay has no problems at all with firearm accessories. PayPal has announced that they are full stop on anything firearm related and will lock your account and seize your funds if they want to for anything they deem firearm related

I tried 2 different times to set up an account to sell on G......R.com,,got rejected both times, something about my bank account.

I had the same results too trying to set up an account to sell with the same explanation concerning my bank account. Couldn't understand why, I had plenty of funds and had been using g........r for years.
