Problem With Garmin Xero Update 03/21/25

Prior to update no missed shots, after update at the range missed 1-2 shots out of 5.

Don't they test their updates before releasing it?

I’ve never downloaded the app or connected to blue tooth. I’m a simpleton I guess, I get everything I need written down in a notebook and delete the session. I’m sure I’m missing out but it’s worked great for me.

The advantage of the app is that you can export the data to Excel and not have to transcribe anything. This is just a matter of someone not testing an update, it will soon be fixed once they are aware of it. A good example of why it's good not to be an early adopter of any updates

It’s pretty handy to label your load and look at it anytime on that App, if nothing but for entertainment when your stuck somewhere boring.

"We are aware of an issue where customers who have updated to SW 3.30, who are also shooting in rifle mode in the velocity range of 1700 to 5000 FPS are seeing some missed shots. For those customers already updated to 3.30, we do expect a new update soon."

I take pictures of my targets to save them for that situation. FPS comes in second.

I have started doing all my load development on printer paper size targets. I keep them in a binder with targets that have notes on them for each rifle.

But at least there was a quick response. They will fix it. Being Garmin, I have no doubt they will. Unlike the makers of "The Big Orange Thing" they won't sit back and ignore us. Note that the issue is only days old and bridged a weekend.

Certainly Garmin will be all over getting this right. Too good of a company/machine not to get it done quickly.
