Primers are still way over priced

The only problem I see with this logic is that I hear a TON of folks on here and the other forums claiming they have thousands of primers and I find it impossible to believe that all the new shooters are buying more than a box or two of ammo, much of which will never be shot. We loaders buy in much larger quantities than we need in most cases. Just my 2 cents.
Not all handloaders stock many thousands of primers - and I think you are right that most new shooters don't likewise stock thousands of rounds of ammo. BUT there are a lot of non-reloading shooters that are very much into wanting to be sure they can continue to enjoy the sport - and stocking of ammo is a safer play - when available. Like reloaders - it really doesn't take a large percentage of shooters to take a lot of ammo off the street. I know guys with literally more ammo in their garages than a Cabelas store.

Yep 20K primers $ 2,000.00 plus hazmat is a rip off any way one slices it . 2019-2020 they were $32.00 a K ,so WHAT changed ?:(

CCI Primers #400 Small Rifle - LOT OF 20,000 PRIMERS $1,999.95
I guess it's a priority thing more than anything. I'm sure there was a time I would have said "No way I'd spend 100.00 per brick for primers. With gas doubling over the past 15 months. Restaurant and grocery store prices up 25-40%. Everything has gone up. I'm afraid today I'd pay 100.00 for 1000 primers IF i really needed them (meaning out of primers).

I paid $75/1000 large mag pistol primers a month ago. Bought some Hammer bullets last summer, 50 for $100. I thought that was a rip off. My Berger 205’s finally showed up at $75/100. Primers still seem like the cheap part of the equation…
Wow, they are when you put it that way. Worst part is, ya kinda need them

I guess we will pay what it takes to play. I remember so many smokers saying that when cigarettes got to a $1 a pack they would quit. Well where I live they cost between $17-$20 a pack and people still buy them.

It's easy to say one thing and do another. Shooting is my life or a huge part of it. If I stopped shooting because I hated these increases, half my life would be void. Sure I could take up golf or fish alot more but gas prices would equal the cost I'd spend on components just getting to those places. My range is right here so no fuel needed. Only costs to reload basically. Being retired and kind of on a fixed income, it effects me more than if I worked. I'll keep running my mouth about how I'll not pay for powder, primers and brass/bullets if they reach a certain point but that's all BS. I'm just whining more than anything like most are. It's terrible but I'm not letting these prices completely stop my love of shooting. Slow down, maybe but not halt.

I would gladly pay up for primers and powders to avoid the Country Club elite crowd.

The last time I had a friend try to get me to join his Country Cub, the entrance fee was $50,000 non refundable deposit and $2-3000 a month dues. The bonus was rubbing elbows with all the Social Climbers driving their Ferrari s and Mobacs , asking me what college I went to. Oh, and Joe Biden was given an honorary membership!
Can I say “OH HE,,NO!”
