Not all handloaders stock many thousands of primers - and I think you are right that most new shooters don't likewise stock thousands of rounds of ammo. BUT there are a lot of non-reloading shooters that are very much into wanting to be sure they can continue to enjoy the sport - and stocking of ammo is a safer play - when available. Like reloaders - it really doesn't take a large percentage of shooters to take a lot of ammo off the street. I know guys with literally more ammo in their garages than a Cabelas store. The only problem I see with this logic is that I hear a TON of folks on here and the other forums claiming they have thousands of primers and I find it impossible to believe that all the new shooters are buying more than a box or two of ammo, much of which will never be shot. We loaders buy in much larger quantities than we need in most cases. Just my 2 cents.
