A laser on a 1911???Personal defense, home defense, paper, steel but probably not competition. With my eyes the plan would be to put a laser on it.
I have an old Blackhawk (not super) in .44 mag. Had it magnaported but muzzle rise is still significant. With a little aftermarket work, the Ruger Single Actions are very reliable and fun to shoot and can be very accurate. I've owned several Blackhawks and Single Sixes.
I do. Ruger Blackhawk. If you don’t own a wheel gun, you should.
I know. But after cataract surgery I’m stuck with a fixed lens and the eye can’t focus at multiple distances anymore like the OEM equipment could. I found that with a laser all I have to do is focus on the target. That simplifies things a lot.A laser on a 1911???
Sacrilege!!!
Why? I liked the one I tried.Lasers on pistols kinda suck. Learn irons or get a red dot sight.
Try some 240-grain lead bullet loads at about 850 to 900 f/s and it will bring a smile to your face. The Speer swaged bullets are extremely accurate under 1,000 f/s.I have an old Blackhawk (not super) in .44 mag. Had it magnaported but muzzle rise is still significant.
Don’t have a beard but if I did it would be all grey. I’m 76.
Limited range, encourages bad shooting habits, typically poor accuracy relative to real sights or a dot. Why? I liked the one I tried.
