Unless china bought Nebraska I am not sure why it keeps getting brought up in this post. Lol

The original frienemy, our favorite stuff was invented there, gunpowder, guns, cannons, exploding shells. Shaping borders royalty free ever since, for 1k years. The guy we never liked, sure could play. It’s hard not to bring his name up.

I do not see it any differently than Frankford Arsenal copying things. Sometimes a new product may bring innovation, but yeah it looks like a copy. Still way over my budget either way your go.

henderson looks like a Lamborghini compared to the Hornady

Not like you are biased or anything lol I see some nice additions on the Hornady.

And the whole Berger Hybrid story was told on Facebook and they didn’t think them up but got the idea from a person who has now passed away. Better sell them too lol

Here’s the post and the writer is someone in the industry and would not write anything he didn’t trust as true. It’s on Facebook in the Long Range Tactics -Official Group page. I’d have put a link but it’s a private page you have to join.

“Re-read that again more carefully.

I heard it from the guy that made the claim when I bought bullets from him in ~2013. I heard it repeated by someone else in ~2013 who bought bullets from him after they saw how his stuff performed in my rifle. I heard it additionally from other people at the Palma Nats/Worlds in summer 2015. Inference would suggest that he was telling more than just me.

The guy that made the claim died in 2017 (I since looked him up to confirm when he passed). Based on his obit, he was over 80 years old when he told me. Was he senile? Who knows, but the claim was still made.

The final point being though, if you want to get upset that someone copied another's concept that original concept should have had some IP protections put in place. If you can't get IP protection it probably wasn't all that original of an idea. The firearms industry is just like every other claiming that what's old is new and there are copycats everywhere. None of this is surprising.”

ETA: before anyone starts screaming I hate Berger I don’t. They make great bullets. I used to shoot the 210 VLDs in my 300WM and they shot great. The above was to show a story of an idea being perfected by a company who didn’t have the idea but worked with it. Nothing wrong with that.
