Interesting history about Sig Sauer. Much has changed in the last 18 years.
They designed the bullet first, and started from a clean sheet. For whatever dumb reason it's not even really a .277... it's a .278.
What companies? It is 100% designed, tested, and built in the USA. The rifle in NH and the ammo in Arkansas.

While I don't think I'll be buying a rifle that handles 80 Kpsi ammo, I do wonder if 6.8x51 will be approved as a F-TR round.I'm just happy for a standardized 270 x 308
I'm no expert but I think most custom actions made will easily handle 80 K.While I don't think I'll be buying a rifle that handles 80 Kpsi ammo, I do wonder if 6.8x51 will be approved as a F-TR round.

It's called 270 Shortchester
Remember, all of that “pull down” powder that we in Short Range BENCHREST enjoyed for so many years was from obsolete cold weather NATO ammunition sold in bulk.let them do away with 5.56 and 7.62. maybe i will get to buy a bunch of military surplus on the cheap.
