Need 6XC brass for XTC

cause i got the Win brass for a lot less than 60c each and fireforming is done with my 200 yard loads and you cant notice a difference in accuracy. And at least for all the 6xc brass I have had the chance to use, none has been issue free except for the winchester brass. Several of the others have been "sticky", others have worn out too fast, others get doughnuts in the neck......the win brass has literally been the easy button for me. Form up 1000 pcs, shoot it for the next 10-20 yrs. No fuss, no muss.....easy.
Yes, maybe it’s worthwhile if you got some older Win brass real cheap. The current stuff is not close to the older stuff in my experience, I rather pay a bit more and get good brass.

Yup, still running the original batch I bought back in 2004. That being said, I have a batch of Win "red bag" that I will eventually have to move on to, and if it sucks, will then look at some of the current brands in production, but until then, still running what works....well. cost is not my most important factor, far from it, as the priority for me is stuff that WORKS and does not cost me points, or extra time messing with it to get it right. Works, easy to use, lasts, and probably cost, being last place.

What about using 6mm Creedmoor brass to make 6XC?

The Hornady brass is only about $.40 ea so it seems like dimensionally it is a good fit for lower pressure loads that are used at 200/300yds and it is reasonably priced.

Any reason that would be a bad idea?

If the Hornady 6 Creed brass is similar to their .308 brass, it is very soft, won’t take pressure, and won’t last. YMMV, of course.
