Liberty Safe -- Issue with Access Codes

The CEOs of large corporations have been watching elected officials lie to the public and get away with for years. Now they try to do the same stuff and find out we can just quite buying their products and services and cripple them. The government has armed branch that will take everything you own and/or put you in jail if you try to cancel them. Its called the IRS. You would have thought that these kind of things would have been reviewed after Target, Best Buy, Bud Light and others forgot who bought their products and why. It was before the public realized they could do anything but look up H-S precisions short time spokes person. And although I think Jan 6th was inevitable who in their right mind thought they would not be punished for kicking down the house of the most entitled thieves in the country? No one cared if a poor community was burned to the ground, if it made potential democrat voters happy. But no one in the Jan 6th crowd was going to vote for the dems.

Sorry if this will ruffle some feathers. The first thing I did when I bought my first gun safe was to reset the passcode. Was this not an option for every safe?

Probably. But not effective if the manufacturer has a “skeleton” (universal) code that works regardless if the user/owner changes the factory preset.

A lot of you may be missing the point. Many have correctly said, a safe can be opened in a couple minutes with a grinder and a cutoff wheel.

The point is -

1) Liberty willingly gave codes to law enforcement when they were under absolutely no requirement to do so.
2. Whoever owns liberty are democratic donors.

On both counts, F that.

Stop buying and supporting their bullshit. Cancel them. @urbanrifleman that's the connection to twinkle toes and bud light. Cancel them and make it hurt.

Thank you for laying it out there again. I dont understand what is so difficult for people to understand number 1 in your post.

Its been mentioned here and other forums that liberty saved this guys safe from being destroyed and possibly his items in it. Do you really think hes ever going to see his safe and items that were inside again? His stuff will end up in FBI custody, most likely he will be convicted (unfortunately) and he will never see it again. So yea, dont make it any easier than they have to to get in the thing.

In what I hope is a futile attempt to salvage something Liberty says you can call them and have the combo expunged.
How nice of them.

Live fire I did not say what Liberty did was right, but the safe was going to be opened by the FBI thugs. And you are probably right if they convict him, he will lose his rights. And I totally agree they need canceled, if not for giving away his combination without being legally compelled to do so, for sure for backing the gun grabbers.

So, where's the call to Boycott Liberty Safe retailers?
Not gonna buy a Liberty Safe is like me saying I'm not buying a NEW Mercedes :)

Liberty safes just blocked their comments on X because it's come out they keep the combination to the safes they sell and just provided one to the FBI to open a safe.

IMO, so long as a legitimate search warrant process is followed, and so long as a non-rubber-stamp member of the judiciary evaluates such requests, and so long as severe oversight exists during execution of such searches, then I don't have much problem with reasonable searches being executed. Even if that involves, say, a phone company divulging an individual's call history or a safe company divulging the "secret" combination or method to get into a safe.

Of course, we all know that any sort of disregard for the law is possible, even likely, when policing wants to get what it wants, given that any number of the judiciary will rubber-stamp such requests ... all to merely go through the motions of legitimacy and "the law" to CYA. The goal being to git 'er done, to "win," not necessarily to do justice. Anyway, that sort of thing is for another discussion.

In business, every single customer is important.
I worked for Mercedes-Benz. The lengths they would go to to keep a customer never ceased to amaze me. One customer. You’d have thought that one guy was purchasing a fleet.

Lol, 5 pages of wasted bandwidth, lol.
Am I going to get rid of my liberty safes to make a point, NO.
If I bought safes on a weekly/monthly/yearly time table, I may have a change in mind.
Maybe I should start looking around and see if folks are getting rid of them for pennies on the dollar.
Probably should keep a moving cart in my truck, trash day is Monday, probably be a bunch of them along the street going to the recycle bin.

Sarcasm intended.
More wasted space contributor.

The problem is that the FBI is now weaponized against patriots and honest Americans. What used to be an organization that at least pretended to protect Americans from criminals and Communists, now works for the criminals and Communists. Liberty Safes is simply caught in the crossfire. And frankly is a distraction.

I bought a heritage safe almost 25 years ago and I am glad I did. I got rid of the electronic dial on it that came from the factory after it started to give me problems probably six years after buying it. I’ve got the good old reliable spin dial on it now and I’ve never had a bit of problem. The only one that knows the combination is me and my son. I feel pretty well protected against smash and grab type of robberies that could occur, but if the FBI really wanted into my safe I’m sure they have the tools to be able to cut into it or get around the locking system somehow. As long as I was not home when they came to visit, they would not have to go through me to get to the goods…. but if I was home….. every man must have a mountain that he is willing to defend at all costs.

It didn't take liberty long to change how they handle this situation.... Recently put out by them you can now have your information deleted and very soon when you register your safe that will be an option... The outrage has changed how things will be in the future for sure.... They saw what's happening to companies and that Patriots are FINALLY standing up and changed their company policy while they still have a company....
