No problem with me, lotech! Lots of ways to skin a cat, and after all, this is just a hobby! People can have different ways of doing things and still get the same results. This is how we learn from each other!

What got me started on getting the carbon out is a Krieger 308 winchester with a palma chamber that will shoot 3/4" at 300 yards when it is clean. About 80 round shot strings, and the groups open up to 3" at 300.

It has aluminum oxide in it. That's an abrasive.

Call them and ask them. I do not believe Flitz Bore Cleaner has aluminum oxide in it.

Plastic Iosso or Montana Extreme plastic brush with Fine Bronze wool wound in the bristles
Very, very worn bronze bristle brush with Fine Bronze Wool wound in the bristles.

I've found wrapping some bronze wool around a brush to also be quite effective.
Do you try to reuse the brush/wool after using? They get really crudded up.

Well... I was wrong!!!

It would probably take years of use before anything of value was abraded away.............. it would be nice to know the particle size just for kicks

Depends. Wash them out with carb cleaner, maybe able to wind more wool in them...

Abrasives can and will open up throat dia., and 5 Micron is what what is used to lap barrels with, but it cleans a barrel real fast....one heck of a selling point, eh?
