Induction brass annealer redux

So are the outputs from the timer are DC,if that's the case i am ok with that
The timer provides no output voltage. Instead, there are two output relays, each with a normally open contact, a normally closed contact, and a common contact.

In the original GinaEric Induction Annealer, Timer A switches 12 volts DC to the relay contactor that applies power to the inductor PCB, and Timer C switches 12 volts DC to the relay contactor that applies power to the Trap Door Solenoid.

Well i have finally started my build,i am running 2 DC fans, off a switch,do you need to use relays,as i have just wired them up directly, for now. Thanks in advance

Question for the people running 48V power supplies, what timer are you using? I have a free power supply I'm not sure what timer to use since most are listed at 36v DC max, and not sure if the AC units will switch a DC voltage on the timer. Thanks Ben

The basic GinaEric annealer uses the Sestos digital quartic timer. It has 4 count down timers A,B,C,D. Timers A and C each control a relay. Timer A and its relay control another relay that control the voltage going to the inductor PCB. That voltage can be 36 volts DC or 48 volts DC, up to the user and the current capabilities of the power supply..
Look at the schematic on page 110 of this thread.

Decided to go with the SESTOS DIGITAL QUARTIC TIMER AC, got everything running Timer is counting down stop start is working, but not connected, to the induction board yet, still waiting for the water pump, and solonoid, my question is, I am using a SSR-40DD, do I make the connection from this to the induction board, through the pos, or neg wire. Also do I need anything for fly back, think that is what you call it, like a 1N4007, diode if so how to install it, like to thank all the people that have helped me.

I have tested my build using a SSR-40. My understanding is the fly back circuit is internal to the SSR, so I did not use one. Here is the way I connected it:

I got it running without the solanoid, and water pump I am using a 48volt 1200W 25A, PS, but it is drawing 17amps,without any thing in the coil, I turned it off, staight away as read on here it should be around 8 amps, should I turn the PS down say around 42 volts any suggestions

I built a non GinaEric a long time ago. I am just now building a GE for a friend so I'm new to this version. With the coil supplied with the induction board it drew about 5A with nothing in the coil and ran about 100kHz. I tried one of my coils I use with my annealer and it drew about 15A and ran at 163kHz. Using the formula supplied by @VenatusDominus I got around 1uH for the large supplied coil while mine was .3uH.

Try the formula in post 2,559 on page 128 and see what you get for your coil inductance.

I’m using a 36v, 1000w supply.

I checked that the windings are close but I can slide a piece of paper, between them, or perhaps that is to close, the coil hasn't been dipped in shellac or anything. Also how far has the coil tubing got to be away from any metal, as the compression bulkhead fittings, are approx, 1 inch from the metal.

I just checked the induction board with the multi meter and I got continuity, between the pos terminal and the heatsink, that can't be right, but can't see what's causing it

I don't get continuity between + and heatsink. Is there an insulating pad behind the FETs?

Does anybody have a schematic for these induction boards?

Pics don't know I might be lucky and someone might spot something out of place
