Induction brass annealer redux

Hello, I male some test for use a servo controll (with Arduino) instead of the solenoid but have some trouble.
The servo not run smooth but have some shake.
If possible that the current from Arduino board is too low?

Thanks

Don't know how you have your servo wired. The 5v regulator on the UNO R3 is rated for 800 ma but the max power for the 2 main chips is around 670ma. I wouldn't use the 5v. If your external power supply has enough power, I would tap off the Vin pin (regulate if necessary) and run the servo with a transistor or FET and drive the base or gate with an output pin.

Hello,
I've added one 12v power supply and the movement is more linear.

I found the sketch on YouTube (Robojax user) and I think this work fine for a trap door.

I modified some parameters and now I study for a correct installation on the shelf.

Now I would add a this sketch the part for controlling the stepper for brass feeder, but online don't have found some info...
I watched the link of the tutorial of arduino but are mutch complicate for me...
Can help me for implementation of the system of annealer?

I would play the ZVS (start, stop and time of annealing), case feeder and trap door.

Thanks

What did you pay for the pyrometer? I looked for quite awhile for one of these but never found anything priced remotely sensibly for this application.

This is a German ebay. I assume it's the same or similar model as the one @rox bought (the "fast" version, acquisition time 3-9 ms https://www.instrumart.com/assets/Micro-epsilon-CT_manual.pdf), costs 139 euros with measuring head (seller accepted my offer of 129, but would probably go lower).

One without the head is 25 euro only: https://www.ebay.de/itm/283824808506

Disclamer: I don't know if the seller is willing to ship to the US.

Never used a stepper so can’t help you there.

Hi all, great to become a member. Ive been ready so many pages of all of you with great input and ideas, Can someone (Gina I pm you for this) a final list of items needed to build a KISS annealing machine please?
Ive looked and search and I am not able to compare parts that are no longer available and find a compatible replacement. Some of the items on Gina's list are no longer available unfortunately.
I can follow instructions but an electrician or anything to do with hi tech electrical Iam not. Please if anyone can help I much appreciate it.

Thank you all in advance and later!!!

Steve

BTW I am going to be currently annealing 7mm rem mag, 300 savage and 556, Looking on broadening by adding 50 cal much later, but for the time being the first 3 calibers.

I know this is an older posting thats been going on for some time now, hopeing to hear from any of you that may be able to help me, would this PS work for Gina's KISS anealler? its from ebay.

just my opinion -
I would be more concerned with having the coil windings touch than the case shorting coil windings. I noticed that if the case was off center the magnetic field centered it.
I used silicone/glass sleeving on the coil as others have mentioned/used.

Those look

pretty good to use, do you ever have any cases hanging up on the step down or do you use these narrow side up?

I use them with the large flare up and the the smaller flare fits inside of my coil.

Started using these after I had a case rim catch on an inside 'rib' and short the coil (I use a case feeder, so I was not there to catch the bad case drop).

Yes, the induction field will center a case in the coil, but not enough oomph in the field to get one unstuck...

That should work fine.
