IBS Long Range Rulebook

Gentlemen, I don't need more free ads please.
My rests are sold like hot cakes and I still behind a few hundreds most of the time.
Thanks,
seb.

Over than 10.000 miles from home to Williamsport PA, about 24 hours total in the airplane alone (2 x 24 hours back & forth), and only to shoot a very few relays/rounds o_O:confused: - I just hope you guys give me a good welcome and rifle-load combo there!!!:D

Beside a MAX for Joe, I will also donate a MAX rest for the match winner or as a door prize - whichever you think suit / better. Will send the rests around late April/first week of May. Will also fill the front bags.

Some questions:
I've shot some big point blank BR & F-Class matches but a first timer in IBS 1.000 yds, what do I need to know?
I am an NRA member but not an IBS long range member yet - Do I need to be a member to shoot in this match?

Also, does any shooter in the match (i.e. like me) eligible for match record/winner when all things/equipments he/she uses conform with the rules?

seb.

I would get with Joe Salt on this, but I believe he is taking care of the paper work.. I'm sure the club will want some signatures maybe..

I would come a bit early so maybe to shoot and practice Friday or earlier in the week.. Joe probably will be there as early as Wednesday..

Seb, I feel having a gun/setup that tracks well is key at Williamsport.. I haven't observed much success from waiting on conditions (Shoot fast)..

Can you see mirage most of the time in the range?

Do we shoot marked target or blind or any/your preference?

seb.

They mark your sighters, you have a allotted amount of time shooting at the back bank then a bit on sighters then a ceasefire before your record target goes up (wait for the begin fire command).. Record target is blind and not marked...At the Open they are no pit duty, the club takes care of that..

Ray

I like two save a sighter for the last 30 seconds or less (they will count down to ceasefire) and if conditions hold, run my ten for score when the begin fire command is given.. Williamsport will have much more knowledgeable folks then I.. Almost everyone is more then happy to steer you in the right direction..

We like repeat visits, think of the first one as a learning experience..

Seb your good to go. All I need is for you to get there early enough for me to get you to shoot if that is possible. And I can't say enough for your generosity, I didn't expect this. I'm going to make sure you get my best rifle. The question is are you right handed or left. If you are left handed, I will need Matt Kline to set you up. I'm a klutz when it comes to left handed.

Joe Salt

I'm a right handed Joe.
I will arrange to be there in Williamsport regional airport on July 8 in the morning/before 12 am - I would be glad to try your LG & HG in the afternoon, can?
Also can you give me a link of the accommodation? or name & address.
Thanks,
seb.

Also, does any shooter in the match (i.e. like me) eligible for match record/winner when all things/equipments he/she uses conform with the rules / compliant?

Can someone answer or confirm my question?

Thanks,
seb.

Yes absolutely you can win and or qualify as record holder if you break a record.
