Makes the day, doesn't it? Can you share a bit more, bullet weight, twist, conditions? I'm working with a 6/250 and 6 slr so quite interested in your powder.
D
After seeing my first three shots at 300m with 35g 4407ssc. The powder beat all in my .243 and 6.5 cm. I never dreamed of coming close to this. Really no vertical and is not a isolated group."
Do you mean IMR4007ssc?RG
It never really sunk in till I got home. I have probably jinxed myself by mentioning it. I learned that in transmissions, never say anything good about one when your done.I had an exact same thing with my 6.5 CM been fighting powders and load combo's, then tried different powder and BAM it just all came together. At first your just confused at what your seeing then it sinks in. I was like "no way" lets see if it can hold up,... and it does.
Was curious, as I had not heard of 4407!I have a nice stash 4007, and none of the LOTs were among those recalled.
My luck with it has run mostly very GOOD precision (groups) and velocity, or, decent precision, but mediocre velocity.RG
I could get a little more velocity with H4350 in the 6.5 cm but not the same accuracy as 4407ssc. I also found 4407ssc likes to be run hard. I had and shot the bad lot before we knew. Lot of smoke.
That's 4007 the James Bond powder, orange and white bottle. Man, I'm getting old.
Nice mate . Love the 6BRX and man you got yours cooking at those speeds..
What bullet weight and velocity?IMR 4007 works good in my plain 6BR also. Without flags in March I doubt I can do better than this. Backer was shot out so it made some big holes.View attachment 1098501
What bullet weight and velocity?
cm,Find more of that powder...buy it all and DO NOT sell that rifle!!!!!
It also works very well in my .22-250-good velocity and shoots pretty smallcm,
Yes, my shooting buddy ask me what will I do when I run out of it. It's been a winner in .243, 6.5 CM, 6BRX and maybe 6BR.
