Yuppie's don't buy powder - tennis and golf balls yes, but not powder, at least the yuppies I knew.

I’m about ready to go to air rifles. They pay out more money at their competitions anyway

Hatchet throwing is on my short list of alternatives if the shooting sports get to the point where I can't afford it.

Of course, if my farmer friends see me roaming the fields with a hatchet hunting groundhogs, they may call the boys in white coats or d0 they wear blue coats now.

Well I was going to say sporting clays which is golf with a shotgun but we wind up right back where we were. realistically until supply meets or exceeds demands we are going to have to pay more

If I had seen 8# Varget for $368 there would have immediately been zero left on the shelf.

$ 354 for an 8# locally, pick up only. I have seen it on line at 380 ish

Anything Varget can do, N140 can do better, for $100 / 8# less…

Could always switch to archery but that’s like sling shooting… physical exertion and eye sight…

I have a fair bit of powder and primers but I'm slowly changing to VV and Shooters World powders and I just don't buy primers if I can help it. During the worst shortages locally I was selling a few supplies trying to help folks to keep shooting. I'm keeping what I have left and it will keep me shooting for a while. Fortunately I have a group of friends with similar interests and between us we can usually trade around and come up with whatever is needed.

It’s very simple. The law of supply and demand applies here. Stop buying them until they start to collect dust then the prices will drop.

I heard a rumor on here, that someone was putting an extruded powder plant on U.S. soil. If they sell to the public, that would do a fine job of flipping the hodgdon monopoly the bird.

Powder will probably start dropping in price when everything involved in my Business starts to drop. That includes material cost, tooling cost, insurance cost, labor cost, utility cost, shipping cost, …….everything.

I’m not holding my breath.

AI will find ammunition, gunpowder/primers are a detriment to human life. Will make a societal decision for you to end production. This will be part of a global initiative programming instruction, before AI decides WHO is a detriment. A a robot comes looking for individuals who are living off the grid. 2030 ish if the new chip structure is as big a technology( to ASI -artificial super intelligence) boost as forecasted.

I've been out of the loop for quite a while and couldn't believe the prices of reloading components. I have a decent supply of bullets, brass and primers, but I'm going to need powder. I got sticker shock when I saw the prices. I participated in group buys years ago, they helped to get better prices, but I never bought powder that way.

Ammo Shelves and some Bullets, ARE,. "Filling Up" at, the Local Walmart store, Here,.. BE,. Patient !
Ever Wonder WHY, the lil' 6.5 Creed is, SO, Popular ??
It Gulp's, 45 grains of, Gun Powder,.. MAX !
And the ole' .30-30 Gulp's a mere 32 grains of, Powder ( 200 Shots Per Pound ! ) Plinking Steel,.. FUN !
