Sounds like your complaint should be with Vortex for allowing a distributor to break such an agreement

Great point. I agree there are a lot of smaller places where this is true. But the big guys who compete directly with PV are not at this disadvantage.snakepit said:In very early 2013 I got into reloading at about the worse time you could. It was extremely hard to find any reloading supplies and even the reloading equipment was hard to find as everyone was panic buying. Powder Valley may be a great place to buy from but at that time they were out of stock with everything I wanted. They did take one order from me only to cancel it after about a week. I was able to purchase Varget powder and brass from one local "Mom and Pop" dealer, loading equipment from another and bullets from a third. The one thing I could not find was primers until I found them at Bruno's. These things were more expensive than from Powder Valley, Midwest,Third Generation etc but at least I was able to purchase them. I remember all the posts with people saying they would never order from Bruno's because they were charging too much. Well for guys like me that was good as that left supplies for the rest of us who were just getting into reloading or willing to pay those prices. The one local "Mom and Pop" retailer really worked hard at getting supplies for us reloaders. They apologized for the high prices they had to charge but they could not get supplies from their normal distributors and had to pay higher prices to find different products from other distributors who were taking advantage of the shortage situation. The local small dealers may not be able to match the prices of Power Valley and others but they still contribute a lot to our reloading sport.
