Garmin chronograph

I acquired one and really, really like it. We checked it against two other chronographs at a practice. The velocities were very close. None of us are physicists, so we attributed some variance to distances from the muzzle.

They are Awesome, small light weight, just point it in general firing direction & shoot. the Lab Radar heavy case & accessories + Tripod are 16 pounds heavier

Speaking of price, Garmin's new chrony must have really hurt LabRadar. I see the Lab's going now for $350.00 on a couple sites. Their price sure dropped, mostly due to Gamin, I bet.
I was happy to let my LabRadar go for $350 a while back. It was in a full kit with battery, case, mounting base, archery trigger, recoil trigger and SD card. Yeah, I took a $$ hit, but that's nothing new in our pastime. I just wanted it gone. It was taking up space and gathering dust. Labradar is offering new units at $450 and demo units at $400. I expect they're having trouble moving them.

LabRadar's new LX version is supposed to ship late March 2024 or early April. The LX might give Garmin some competion IF Labradar fixes their technical issues and IF they get it out the door in this decade. Big IF's in my book. I can see them discontinuing the original LabRadar in favor of the LX, but time will tell. Garmin has a definite head start.

When the LX hits the market most likely Lab will hit a price point to hurt Garmin. When Garmin introduces the C2 Pro they may reduce the price of their C1. Caldwell may have a compact near release. I have a C1, but I'm not a fan boy of Garmin. It does what I need and was available when I needed it. I may very well switch in the future, but for now I'm enjoying uses it.
