In this case the hacked accounts were both well-established members with good trader history. But People must realize that if a password is stolen or shared with another Forum without a firewall, then a good, reputable account can be hijacked in 30 seconds.

In dealing with online sales offers you MUST protect yourself and understand that ANY account can be risky. VOICE phone call, ask for references, check for the guy's shooting club. And you want a picture of the product that is totally different. The hackers can use AI to put something in an existing photo. For a scope I would tell the guy wrap a rope around it, rest it on a hat and put that on the dashboard of your truck. And you could even have that done live with Facetime or WhatsApp.
