Youre going to need real carbon fiber, the kind baked in an acetylene atmosphere, not sheets laid in epoxy like fiberglass. The devcon titanium epoxy will help on bedding too.

I remember talking with a guy many years ago when Scoville was the only game in town for carbon stocks. He said they had tried a couple that were in the 18oz range. He said there was 2 issues they saw with them. The first was they were very fragile because the amount of epoxy that was used and second they were to flexible.

How many short range br shooters are there coast to coast? 1500 maybe? Just guessing. I think that number might be generous.

Surprised. I can find lots of 100 yard ranges and even 200. Beyond that distance requires lots of driving. I started at 100 in 1971 and will probably stay there until the real last round. Never lost the fascination.

I have a run of non inleted laminated 3-in bench rest stocks that are currently in production and will be here soon. I will be offering them for 399 and they are completely finish sanded ready for finish with a butt pad installed. These are flat top stocks and can be inleted to pretty much any action.

But the response from offering these to people is they kind of turn their nose up at them because they're used to their Kelbly or their McMillan or whatever. Like a laminated stock will not shoot as good as a composite stock. But nonetheless I am going to offer them and they are significantly less expensive than the old offerings.

Man can’t get my head around that. Do you mean competing? I could maybe see that.
I mean the number that go to a local 100 yard range and torture themselves trying to shoot small groups. To me that number would be huge.
