AGS Brass Annealer

Impressive compact machine! I can see a simple fix with 4 little detachable feet clips to raise the body to accommodate long cases.

The one suggestion I have is to provide a concise instructional video on the process to properly anneal with your machine. I see so many user posted videos, including one earlier on this thread, where it is being done incorrectly. Personally, I am an anti-tempilac type, and prefer to use the dark room and eyeball technique to set up the timing.

Good luck. Nice to see more re-loading tools not manufactured in China!

Wanted to "pick your brain" a bit more fellas. Several users asked about digital timers on the unit. My belief is that you cant set the time up the same every time, because it will change from session to session due to differences in gas bottle pressure, and flame setup itself (unless one uses regulated bottle) but maybe I am wrong. In that case, I would have to make the unit larger (most of you like that it is compact) and the price would have to be increased a bit because those digital pwm-s cost quite more. Which rout to take? I would appreciate the input from you, end users :)

I would leave the AGS annealer as it is. I have owned one for about a year. Repeatable results are obtained by placing the inner blue flame to touch the neck-shoulder junction, and setting the dwell time with the stopwatch on my phone. Regardless of whether it has a digital timer or not, one should use tempilaq to verify how far below the shoulder the case is annealed. I like the AGS because of the simplicity.

Thanks fellas. I was thinking adding just a chassis display maybe (that would settle both words), but all that I can find are too big in dimensions as well, almost as the side panel is, plus the depth. Maybe I am not searching for the right thing though. If you know where to look for a micro display that can be mounted on the annealer body please let me know, just to see if it is workable (in mounting sense and price sense as well). Or I ll leave it as is.

ITAR restricts exporting this type of equipment from the US... does anyone know if it also restricts importing?
No ITAR restrictions on reloading tool export from the US, may be some export restrictions in Serbia due to EU regs. But OpticsTrade eu operates out of that area with scopes and etc., so, it can be done.

Played around a bit, trying out digital PWM. It looks nice and its more user friendly (fact remains that for repeated results, if not using regulated gas, Tempilaq is necessary). Will also try with larger PWM unit, but the footprint will have to be larger as well.
