Kinda like eating turkey necks. We kill a fair amount of timber rattlers... that’s a good one. Beautiful skin...looks like it just shed. Good to put on the wall and good to eat!!
Best thing for a rattle snake is a shotgun.Best thing for a rattle snake is the smoke from a mesquite wood fire, a little salt and some lemon pepper.
Betcha we we can make one!No such thing as a good rattle snack.
I learned that PA has a season and permits or some such...but basically you are not allowed to whack em. I guess the black snake that i caught in the weedeater in high grass doesn't count. Motor bogged and I thought I had grass twisted in the head. Imagine my reaction when I lifted it out and had a four footer by the tail, a wrapped up in the head. Suddenly that weed eater wasn't long enough! Thank goodness it wasn't that pictured fiend!!!!! He would have stayed tangled till the motor ran out of gas!I am no snake lover for sure but I think the timber is a protected animal.... I have heard stories of game Wardens showing up because of Facebook pictures..... I could be wrong but it's the reason I stopped posting pics like this... That is one dangerous snake....

I'm not sure what that means, but it made me laugh. Thanks.Ya gotta burn um out
I completely agree , you can't just ask them to leave.... That is one deadly snake also.... I guy was bitten on the hand here and died before he could get to the hospital and get help... A timber is no joke....Thanks for the concern. When it's 10 feet from my front door and coiled and angry, it's self defense, period.
Buy FYI, timber rattler is not protected by either State or Federal law in Alabama.
Lol I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago with a very large Coral snake.... He can just have the weed whacker I will buy another... My wife is a city girl and I have been telling her forever to watch for snakes here in Texas , their everywhere....I learned that PA has a season and permits or some such...but basically you are not allowed to whack em. Any snake is protected in Tennessee according to the TWRA. They better have the ticket book out when I see a Rattlesnake or Copperhead. They may kill rodents and other such pest but so do I. Also, I believe that I’m more scared of them than they are me. Bang… Just Sayin….Thanks for the concern. When it's 10 feet from my front door and coiled and angry, it's self defense, period.
