A good Rattle snake

Lol, you guys and the serpents. Mag dump and ruin the skin, something that could be put out of service with a stick.

It ain't the serpent, with me. It's the venom.

Rattlesnakes are an entirely different animal, beyond mere "serpent." Getting close enough for removal by me via stick definitely puts it within distance of removal of me. A bit of caution ... yeah, well, I'm okay with that.

Now, had it been a Black Mamba, I'd have prayed for a motorcycle to drop down before me ... and that right quick.

I am no snake lover for sure but I think the timber is a protected animal.... I have heard stories of game Wardens showing up because of Facebook pictures..... I could be wrong but it's the reason I stopped posting pics like this... That is one dangerous snake....
I learned that PA has a season and permits or some such...but basically you are not allowed to whack em. I guess the black snake that i caught in the weedeater in high grass doesn't count. Motor bogged and I thought I had grass twisted in the head. Imagine my reaction when I lifted it out and had a four footer by the tail, a wrapped up in the head. Suddenly that weed eater wasn't long enough! Thank goodness it wasn't that pictured fiend!!!!! He would have stayed tangled till the motor ran out of gas!

Thanks for the concern. When it's 10 feet from my front door and coiled and angry, it's self defense, period.

Buy FYI, timber rattler is not protected by either State or Federal law in Alabama.

I completely agree , you can't just ask them to leave.... That is one deadly snake also.... I guy was bitten on the hand here and died before he could get to the hospital and get help... A timber is no joke....

Any snake is protected in Tennessee according to the TWRA. They better have the ticket book out when I see a Rattlesnake or Copperhead. They may kill rodents and other such pest but so do I. Also, I believe that I’m more scared of them than they are me. Bang… Just Sayin….
