7-6.5PRCW load data

In a short action, I would use you a freebore of 0 to 0.040" if you use the 1 degree lead. You should get around 2800 out of a 24-inch barrel with the right load.
My reamer is designed to fit 180 hybrids in a short action mag. .045” freebore.

How many firings are some of you getting before you need to trim your brass? Whats your trim length?

I'm using N-160 and liking it a lot. I have RL-23, N-165, N-555, H4831SC and H4350, but N-160 is the choice in my current barrel.
I've been thinking about trying it. What is a good safe area to start testing? I don't want to over pressure cases. I've been using Rl16, N555, H4350 and 4831sc.

I started at 54.5 and worked my way up to 56.6 in Lapua brass. That yields ~2,930 fps in my 32" barrel. It is safe in my rifle. Work up accordingly.

ETA - This is with Berger 180 gr. Hybrids .018" off the lands and White River Energetics LR primers. Brass is holding up just fine.

Thanks for the info. I'm running 32" brux with adg brass and Berger 180 hybrids .010 off lands so it should be pretty close. I hope my barrel likes it because it's a whole lot cheaper.

I am having a 28" barrel chambered with a Manson PRCC reamer. Does anyone have any experience with this chambering they can share?

FWIW, my lot of ADG brass has the almost identical capacity to Lapua.

Manson has several. You may want to post a print. That will help.

I don't have a drawing, but I believe it is the same or a variation of Eric Cortina's. - .320 No Turn neck, .225 free bore, 1-30 degree lead.

Have you all seen a decrease in velocity when the temps are in the high 20’s low 30’s?? I tried N160 all the way to 5x.x I’m pretty sure this load was into over pressure territory and the avg for that load was 2828. This load seemed safe in my rifle but I wouldn’t recommend anyone going that high. My 56.7 load was an avg of 2810. But all my testing was done in early March and it was in the high 20’s. I wanted n160 to work because Bruno’s has a bunch and a lot cheaper than N555.

I ran a ladder of n160 over the weekend from 55.0-56.6. Temp was mid 80's and my speeds ranged from 2940-2992fps.

That is way over pressure with that powder. I’ve ran it and that is a 2800-2860fps powder with 30-32” barrels.
After I saw minimal increases up to 56.7. The load I edited out that I’m sure is over pressure was proof enough that N160 wasn’t the powder and that’s when I gave up on N160. Again anyone out there reading this use caution with my N160 data. Also my barrel is 32 inches long and using ADG brass.
