7-6.5PRCW load data

Does anyone know what max pressure is on the 7-6.5 ADG brass? Quick Load says just under 65k for 6.5prc.

Have you all seen a decrease in velocity when the temps are in the high 20’s low 30’s?? I tried N160 all the way to 5x.x I’m pretty sure this load was into over pressure territory and the avg for that load was 2828. This load seemed safe in my rifle but I wouldn’t recommend anyone going that high. My 56.7 load was an avg of 2810. But all my testing was done in early March and it was in the high 20’s. I wanted n160 to work because Bruno’s has a bunch and a lot cheaper than N555.
I live in Texas, so twenties and thirties don't happen all that often and, when they do, I'm NOT at the range!

N-160 is sensitive to temperature. I chronographed several loads last week in 75 degree temperatures. 56.2 and 56.4 gr. of N-160 were reading right around 2,930. My warm weather loads will differ from what I shoot in the fall and winter. In the middle of summer, I'll be around 55.8 gr. to keep the velocity at 2,925 - 2,930.

The same applies for te Does anyone know what max pressure is on the 7-6.5 ADG brass? Quick Load says just under 65k for 6.5prc.
The same applies for the 7PRCW...
Also under discussion at various times is the operational velocity for the cartridge being in the 2'850-2'920 range. You can run them faster but at the expense of your brass... Do you have a Rollsizer??? you will need one for all the "Clicker" brass that you now own...
Also the difference between Alex Wheeler's reamer and Eric Cortina's is that Alex's has a 1* lead angle and Erick's has the more conventional 1.5* lead..
Alex has stated that his reamer is specially designed to use Berger 180 Hybrids.
Also why there is a W at the end of 7PRC...

I don't have a rollsizer but I'm also not having any clicker issues. the only issues I've had are primers falling out the next time I load. I have the Wheeler .316 neck reamer and I'm using ADG brass with about 8-9 loads on them.

After my last try with N160 a month ago my buddies were saying use N555. So I tried one of my buddies loads, we used the reamer on our builds. I shot it was 2890, I went home and ordered a 8lb jug n555 from Bruno’s got it on the barge with Carlisle. Been using it since I’m avg 2886. I will say H4831 did pretty good I was getting 2850ish (have to look at my notes) my daughter 7 prcw shoots the H4831 load real well, but hers has the cortina 1.5 lead. I tried h4350 initially in her rifle and I was getting good velocities then as it got cooler I lost a bunch of velocity with h4350, granted these are older lots of H4350 4-5 yrs old. Anyhow I went from 2860 in early august (alaska) then to 2820 in late September (alaska). Anyhow I’m sticking with N555 or H4831 from here on out. All velocities are checked on the garmin chronograph. My load is:
56.0 N555
7-6.5 PRCW ADG brass
Magtech primer
180 hybrid
2.442 BTO
.015 off the lands
2886 avg
7.3 SD
1-8.7 (I need to ask my buddy I’m pretty sure that’s what he ordered them with) K&P barrel finished out at 32 inches

There is that... Bit of a drag to loose expensive and at the moment non replaceable cases..

Nice looking rig...
I suppose you are used to the snow but I would be getting premature shots due to trembling hands and fingers... Brrrrrrr!!

Freebore? Turning necks? If so to what thickness?

I got 14 loads on Lapua and it was still solid and tight pockets. Seemed to get better with age honestly. Started some new brass with a new barrel but kept the other stuff in case I ever need to load a bunch of ammo. This was running at 2915~fps

I'm not sure about her barrel but that's what mine is to the best of my knowledge. I'm fairly new to this and I'm learning. Just so I don't tell you wrong here is the reamer print
That is the Neck Turn reamer print, the NO Turn print has a 0.3190” neck.
Also the print has the designation of NT -No Turn

You may need to turn your necks, at least a skin turn. My ADG brass came out of the box with about the same neck thickness as Lapua, and my chamber is a .315" neck. I turn to .310" loaded round neck diameter for comfortable clearance.

Entirely possible this is contributing to elevated pressures and sacked primer pockets. Peterson brass is thinner in the neck. You may be able to load that without turning, but I'd be sure to measure first.

according to JGS the .319 is for no neck turn for necked up lapua brass and the .316 is for no turn when using ADG brass.

I just measured loaded ADG brass that is on its first load as well as ones that are on the 11th load and it was consistently .311-.3115. I honestly have no clue as this is my first reamer and upper end barrel. I am curious as to what effect turning the necks would do. I may have to test it. Y'all know way more than me so please correct me if I'm wrong, I do want to learn more. I started f-open last summer with an off the shelf Aero Precision 22" 6.5 Creedmoor so I'm really new to all this.

I used the same reamer as EricCu and this is what jgs told my buddy. .316 neck is for ADG brass.

I’ve been using the ADG in my 316 neck about 8 months now .I also get .311” loaded neck . When I turn necks I shoot for .004 clearance .i get that with the ADG out of the box.
I have about 6 firings on mine so far and no complaints. I can tell you that if you plan on using White River primers prepare to ream primer pockets.
