7-6.5PRCW load data

My buddy shot my daughter’s rifle this is how it did at 600yds last Friday. It was pretty windy with a hard wind coming off the mountains. I use H4831 in her rifle.
Beautiful waterline.

Yep..flat as a pancake waterline. You dont see many quite that nice.
Just like the cross hairs planted on the horizon.

Load for my daughters rifle is
58.0 H4831sc
White River large rifle primer
ADG 7-6.5 brass
180 hybrid seated 2.360 cbto (hornady tool used to measure)
Her rifle has a 32 inch bartlien also used 7-6.5 prcw reamer with the 1.5 degree lead.

this can also happen if your wires aren't plugged in correctly.

2 other shooters shot on that target they were nothing compared to the picture I posted were. We looked at the target during tear down and verified what the shotmarker was showing, I should’ve took a picture of it. I didn’t realize some would say we had cables plugged in incorrectly. Also we still do tap tests on our shotmarkers, I know a lot of clubs don’t do it anymore and you don’t have to. But we still do just out of habit.

Haters gonna hate.

These were brand new targets since it was the first match of the season, to include new chloroplast. I saw the target myself down in the pits during tear down.

Maybe we can fly you up for the next match, to show us how to properly set up shot markers, since we are too dumb to set them up correctly. I mean, it’s not like we have been using them for the last five seasons.

The same applies for the 7PRCW...
Also under discussion at various times is the operational velocity for the cartridge being in the 2'850-2'920 range. You can run them faster but at the expense of your brass... Do you have a Rollsizer??? you will need one for all the "Clicker" brass that you now own...
Also the difference between Alex Wheeler's reamer and Eric Cortina's is that Alex's has a 1* lead angle and Erick's has the more conventional 1.5* lead..
Alex has stated that his reamer is specially designed to use Berger 180 Hybrids.
Also why there is a W at the end of 7PRC...

Ran my last barrel at 2950 and never had a single clicker.

That's an excellent target. Shotmarker has changed Fclass, it's great to see all the new matches, clubs, and ranges popping up.

Thinking his intent was there can be some challenges getting etargets going with a new club.

Sounds like that wasn't the case here though.

H4831/H4831SC definitely should be a powder folks test in there PRC along with N555, H4350, R16, and R23.

Yeah, no hate whatsoever. Recently read the article about the flat line situation when the wires are crossed and thought I'd mention. " This can also happen if...." Just received my shot marker in the mail and have built the frame but haven't had time to get it out and practice.

Funny it seemed everyone I asked about using 4831sc seemed to not know anything about using it for the 7prcw. It wasn't until I inquired on here that I got little bit of info on it.

I was unaware this could happen but a couple months back, I color coded the wire ends so I do not have to worry about cross connecting microphones on the frame anymore.

I forgot to add we do this as well. We have implemented a lot of things for our matches. So we don’t have issues with shot markers that have been mentioned. For a small club we have 9 shot markers. I also apologize for this thread getting off topic

We switched to shotmarker in 2021 started out with 7 and we have seen our 600yd matches grow in size last 4 yrs. Also had other shooters asking how much a F/O build costs. They are definitely interested in a F/O build especially when they see that type of shooting on a windy day. My initial load for this rifle was h4350 I only had 1lb cans so next can I opened, it I went from 2860 to 2820 but it shot phenomenal. I wanted little more speed so I tried H4831. So that’s how I landed on H4831 with this particular rifle. Anyhow several us up here hope we can get registered next year for Texas state lr championship.

All our wires are color coded, because you never know who’s going to show up in the pits to help and what kind of experience they have with shotmarker. It also makes life way easier because you aren’t guessing which length wire to grab.

Is it weird that I’m hitting 2840 fps with 54.0 grains of N555?

Alex chambered a 32” straight tight chamber and I’m using lapua turned brass. My ADG brass just showed up and I’m tempted to switch my brass.

The other problem I was having last Saturday testing is I’d have really consistent string and then I’d have a shot drop 20-30 fps. It was a frustrating day due to that and my groups were terrible.
I’m shooting 180 hybrid, n555, gm210, lapua brass.
Would you guys think I’m having ignition issues?

Ignition is the 1st place I’d look,it’s relatively easy to do and will give you piece of mind if all is right. Alex is probably who I’d ask to see if he has a specific idea to look at. Good luck

If Alex built it ..I do not feel ignition is the culprit. I have switched to ADG and its more consistent in my rifle.
but ive also improved so I may be fooling myself. My load is in the high 2889 to 2910 range and just hammers in my new barrel. I don't turn my brass with my Reamer.
