Haven't turned any.Are you neck tuning your ADG brass? if so, did you fire form first, then turn?
Nice shooting Jeff. Do you prefer the H4350 or the N555 in this cartridge? Which did you shoot to win this past weekend??Shout out to a guy who knows his way around a lathe. On my 2nd of 5 Barrels that @Alex Wheeler chambered up for me and after a good bit of testing this barrel tuned in right where the first one did, right down to the seating depth. Right around ~53 grains of H4350 or ~55 grains of N555 in necked up and neck turned Lapua. Both shoot equally well in a 32" Krieger 8.5 twist @ 2895 FPS. w/ 180 Hybrids. Won our midrange club match yesterday with a 600-39X in some switchy conditions. 2nd Place was a well tuned .284 Shehane that is hard to beat and knocked me into 2nd Place last month...

My experience tells me RL-16 is nowhere near as temp stable as H4350. I’d test it for yourself.Hey Dave,
Thank you. I’ve been kind of alternating between the two and haven’t 100% decided on one over the other. I have some RL16 I’ve been meaning to try and hear it’s similar to h4350 if not slightly more temp stable. N555 looks like maybe getting hard to find?
I shot the N555 this past weekend.
Some of the guys are having great results using 2209(h4350) in Australia with 180hybrids doing approx 2860fps 52.4-52.8gn.Just looked at an older topic of about a 7 Sherman and they were having very good results with H1000.
{this was in the days before N555}
Has anyone tried this powder in the 7PRCW?
I ask as I am about to embark on this cartridge and only have access to 4831SC, H1000 or H4350.

H1000 or 2217 has also been good but for some reason the h4350(2209) seems to hold up better consistently. if your using 184s I think the 2217 will be worth a try with them..Its super kind on barrels to.

Enjoying the White River primers mate?As DannyK has said ... alot of us (Here in AUS) are all finding the same load with 2209 / H4350 at 52.5-52.7 ... Im using 52.6 with WRE Primers and last weekend was SD of 4 over 35 rounds ... 180 Hybrids.
So far they are showing promise in this barrel .. ive compared these with 210m, 215, cci200 and OFV primers and the WRE are tighter and better SD's.Enjoying the White River primers mate?
Is this on a short action ? Just curious as to the COAL, freebore and jump from touch? ThanksView attachment 1559979
Brand new 22” 9twist Bartlien carbon barrel. 180 berger, adg fire formed brass,
H4350, 9 1/2 rem mag primer
Bullets seated at touch BTO 2.433
Brass base to shoulder 1.646
What freebore would you suggest if using a short action and mag with max OAL of 2.955” ? And what speed would you think would be obtainable with a 24” 8” twist barrel using 180 hybrids? Thanks. I’m just trying to do the math compared to my 6.5PRC using 147 Hornady’s for speed and F lbs.Around mid 2900s and up is when issues will come up. You can push them over 3k with no signs. But its wont live there. The faster burning powders will give issues sooner than slow. So if your running 2950 with rl23 or N555 you may be good, but probably not with rl16 or 4350. Each barrel will be a little different though.
