7-6.5PRCW load data

Won my first local mid-range match using this cartridge. 598- 39x. The temp never got out of the 60’s the 53.0gr of H4350 was showing signs of pressure with ADG brass and 180 hybrids. Going to back off .3 gr. Also have some N555 on the way to test.

Congrats!
53 shot awesome for me also. Expect around 55 grains for similar results with the N555.

Just received a message that my 800 pieces of headstamped ADG 7-6.5 PRC brass will be here early June, I was told it’s going to be necked up to 7mm and ready to load…..
YAHOO !
Sounds great, I will be "suitcasing" a batch back in July if I can get my hands on some...
I will then run them side by side with the necked up Lapua 6.5PRC brass that I already have.
Just checked ADG website and they still not listed... Are you willing to share a link to whomever you are getting the brass from?

Did some ladder tests today with my 1.25 striaght 32” barrel. N555 had the best groups and SD/ES. Two nodes stood out, one at 2820, 0.1” and another at 2920 - 0.2” In between they were a little bigger. Plan to work up the higher node more closely. 4831SC wasn’t nearly as good. Lapua Brass, 210M primers. 180Bergers.

Discovered a pretty bad carbon ring when cleaning. I didn’t check it after my last shooting session prior to the match. Lesson learned. Back to scrubbing…

How does ADG and Lapua brass compare ?

I don't know what all of the actual physical spec differences are. But can tell you is that my performance at the range shooting the ADG using my Lapua recipe is just as good, (same prep, powder, primer, seating depth, neck tension, etc.). Only adjustment I had to make was to reduce my powder charge .8 grains (RL16) to get back into my accuracy node. My groups are just as tight and consistent as before. It is "good stuff"!

0.8 of a grain is a reasonable amount of powder and I always like to use less {cost + perhaps slower throat erosion} A case where Less is More... or at least = to ;)

I've been very grateful the cost of components & equipment has not been a very big issue for me. From my perspective, this hobby is a bargain compared to my X275 drag racing days! :) (sorry for getting off-topic!)

At the risk of diverting the thread, who here has converted a 6.5 PRC FL Type S Redding die to 7 PRCW? I quickly found the 6.5 version has a ~.302 neck base. How did you take it out to the necessary diameter?

In my race car days the quote was: "Speed cost money... How fast do you want to go...?"
Same applies to just about anything that is competition orientated...
When I told my son that the safe had over $15K worth of firearms and scopes he nearly fell over...!o_O

Does any one have the neck OD dimension of a loaded round with the ADG 7-6.5 PRC brass, or the neck wall thickness? My Lapua loaded rounds (no turn) are currently measuring 0.313.
