Congrats!Won my first local mid-range match using this cartridge. 598- 39x. The temp never got out of the 60’s the 53.0gr of H4350 was showing signs of pressure with ADG brass and 180 hybrids. Going to back off .3 gr. Also have some N555 on the way to test.
Sounds great, I will be "suitcasing" a batch back in July if I can get my hands on some...Just received a message that my 800 pieces of headstamped ADG 7-6.5 PRC brass will be here early June, I was told it’s going to be necked up to 7mm and ready to load…..
YAHOO !
Discovered a pretty bad carbon ring when cleaning. I didn’t check it after my last shooting session prior to the match. Lesson learned. How does ADG and Lapua brass compare ?
0.8 of a grain is a reasonable amount of powder and I always like to use less {cost + perhaps slower throat erosion} A case where Less is More... or at least = toI don't know what all of the actual physical spec differences are. But can tell you is that my performance at the range shooting the ADG using my Lapua recipe is just as good, (same prep, powder, primer, seating depth, neck tension, etc.). Only adjustment I had to make was to reduce my powder charge .8 grains (RL16) to get back into my accuracy node. My groups are just as tight and consistent as before. It is "good stuff"!
I've been very grateful the cost of components & equipment has not been a very big issue for me. From my perspective, this hobby is a bargain compared to my X275 drag racing days!0.8 of a grain is a reasonable amount of powder and I always like to use less {cost + perhaps slower throat erosion} A case where Less is More... or at least = to![]()
In my race car days the quote was: "Speed cost money... How fast do you want to go...?"I've been very grateful the cost of components & equipment has not been a very big issue for me. From my perspective, this hobby is a bargain compared to my X275 drag racing days!(sorry for getting off-topic!)
