2014 NRA F-Class Mid-Range Nationals At Camp Perry

Till 2012, F-Class wasn't even recognized at Perry. At least the NRA is recognizing us, even if it's not your perfect ideal of how it should be. I was never suggesting that they make the NRA National Championship and FCNC one and the same..I was simply commenting that apparently things have changed at Perry, and they are we'll run matches. Yes, there was some confusion regarding having to shoot team for your total agg, but it was posted on here, this forum, that info wasn't correct, along with a contact(Mid) to verify. All it took was an email to verify..really easy to do... As in all first, it will not be perfect the first time around. Give them a chance ...now that F-Class has taken a life of its own, I'd venture the NRA will work with us in every way.

Laura - Regarding doing away with 600 yards at the FCNC...I'm still not so sure that the NRA did anything more than listen to one or two self serving people in making their decision..

If the FCNC is moved to Perry, I would take a wild guess and say that they will stay with current format since it will still be the FCNC.

I couldn't agree more regarding the seeding of the relays, etc. I watched a championship won by a shooter who was shooting on a different relay than he should have been...ie..not with the leaders on the final day. If your going to run a match, seeding the shooters according to their scores is the ONLY way to be fair in my opinion.

I'm referring to the Midrange now, what this thread was about to begin with..Your right in that there weren't many F-Classers this past year due to the FCNC and world being so close together, but even shooting with the HP guys, everything was run smoothly. I hope this year will be completely different and host a full field. It will be five full days of shooting, 60 rounds per day..plenty of shooting for most people...and all but one day(rain delay), we were done and I was drinking a cold one in my room long before dark..Considering the prize table from last year, I'd bet there will be a lot more shooters this year, and see how things run then.

I made sure I was there for that. I agree that it is progress

This is exactly what I think is going to happen, and before I saw how things were run at Raton I'd have though it was a good idea, but I've been to the FCNC twice now and I've seen the difference. I saw the Bald Eagles run the FCNC and the FCWC with six relays this yr and still get 3 matches a day and finish at a reasonable time.

There are 100 empty firing points on Viale during the NRA National Championship. The NRA wants to fill them. I will be pleasantly surprised if we are not shooting the same course of fire as the sling shooters for the FCNC in 2016, but I doubt that is going to happen.

Day one.
Band of Brothers 20 shots at 1000 yards
Mustin trophy 20 shots at 1000 yards
Unlimited sighting shots.
Shoot off for both trophies taking the top shooter from all relays of the day. 3 sighters and 10 shots for record.

Day Two
Leech Cup 20 shots at 1000 yards
Romanian cup Team match 20 shots at 1000
Shoot off for the Leech cup top shooter from each Relay 3 sighters 10 shots for record.

Day Three
Wimbeldon Cup 20 Shots for record at 1000
Herrick Team Match 20 shots for record 2 sighters
Shoot off for the Wimbeldon Cup. Top shooters from each relay..3 sighters and 10 shots for record.

Day Four
Palma Match, Unlimited sighters and 15 shot for record at 800 yards
2 sighters and 15 shots for record at 900 and 1000 yards.

Day Five
Palma Team Match
Same course as Individuals on day Four.

Then it goes into the Fullbore Championships the next day.
The above are the Match names for the Sling shooters, What ever trophy your shooting for, it will be the same course of fire just a difrent name. : )

The program is a little confusing in that it says the mid range championship is an aggregate of matches 805 (any sight), 806 (iron sights), 807 (iron sights), & 808 (any sight). This can't apply to f-class, right...?

That's for the sling shooter's.

There is a winner every day for the daily match..ie...805,806, etc...then there is the grand agg winner. Since we are shooting along side slingers, any sights, etc, there are winners for each class.
