10mm Auto and Blue Dot ?

I use my older Chargemaster and then dump that into a TRX-925 scale. I got into the habit of checking my Chargemaster drops when I started down the long range shooting rabbit hole where a tenth matters. As good as it is the Chargemaster can often read dead on and be off buy a few tenths. I have to correct the drop more often than not. For pistol round that too much error for me. I have a Dillon XL650 and it's hard for me to trust the powder measure system now. If I'm loading close to max I don't use it. It's mostly a brass prep machine now.
When you say you don't trust the powder drop system are you talking about the Dillon or charge master or both..???? Just asking because my Dillon is a 550c I have had for years now is very accurate with any other powder except blue dot or maybe stick powders with something like win. 231 or TAC it's on.. I have at least three powder dispenser and none of them liked blue dot , I mean they all sucked with it equally.... The charge master stays pretty close but I double check it regularly... You can tell by watching the charge master dispense after awhile if it's correct or not... The Dillon dispenser is amazingly accurate with a powder that flows nicely.... Just wondering if you were having problems with your Dillon dropper...

Have you tried Longshot with 220gr Hardcast ?
I know you're asking the other person , but I can't wait to try a different powder other than blue dot... Unfortunately I had to buy an 8 lbs jug because that's all they had at the time... This powder and primer crunch makes you do something you normally wouldn't.... I have been hearing that longshot works well in 10mm...

I have found the Max at 10.5 with 200 XTP and CCI 300 in Starline using BD very accurate in my G20. Now I am working up a load of Longshot using a 220gr (214g) Hardcast coated load.
Lol, I promise you if you can get some speed with that bullet it will hit like a sledgehammer , a really big sledgehammer...

Longshot works great my load of 8.4 to 8.6 with 220gr Hardcast (214gr) coated Starline and WLP

The RCBS drops are not consistent to 0.1g. The Dillon will drop inconstantly as well but I don't load 10mm on it. I can, I have, I have the dies for quite a few calibers including 223, but when I'm loading right at max charge or looking for accuracy in a long range rifle, I don't take any chances with it either.

I know what you mean about the RCBS. I've been using it for a long time. Sometimes it tries to make that last little tweak and it dumps lol

I have not tried 220 gr hard cast. I shoot 155gr barnes under 9.5 gr Longshot for 1650 out of a 6inch barrel in a STI "Perfect 10"

Looter control down here in NOLA

With blue dot I saw as much as 4 tenths overthrow and that was the end for me and the beginning of a charge master... 4 tenths over would be a handful in 10mm...With TAC for .223 or win 231 for 9 mm my Dillon stays within a tenth and that's good enough for my crap...
