Neolube No.2

Neolube is sub-micron graphite in an alcohol carrier. Lock-Eze is graphite in an alcohol carrier. Likely differences are graphite particle size, and the amount of graphite in a given amount of the mix.

Easy enough to mix an analog using Isopropanol (isopropyl alcohol) and the finest particle size graphite you can find (in my case, it's 5 micron, found on Amazon.) Up to you to determine how much graphite should be in the mix.
No, not exactly.
Lock-ease is not alcohol as I mentioned above. It has been a few years since I retired so I looked it up to be sure nothing has changed, and it hasn't. Lock-Ease is mostly Stoddard Solvent, but as you can see below they throw in some additional solvents like Ethylbenzene and more.

Stoddard solvent is very different than alcohol. It is distilled alkanes and aromatic hydrocarbons.

I tried using Lock-Ease as a neck lube before seating and it doesn't dry completely and when dropping powder into the case, some of the powder sticks in the neck, then when seating a bullet those kernels of powder can stick between the bullet and case neck causing a lump.
Too much trouble, just use Neolube, it's near perfect

If that's the case (and I'm not going to argue with you on that - I never looked, and simply ran with the assumption it was alcohol) I can see there being at least some amount of residual lubricants (light- and not-so-light oils and such) left after the volatile components have flashed off. Makes sense actually, if you look at it as being a treatment for locks.

The mix-your-own method of faux-Neolube avoids the issue of the oils, and, as a bonus, ends up being a lot cheaper than actual Neolube as it doesn't have to be certified for nuke plant use.
