Neolube #2

I use Neolube inside new cases, like my 20 Vartarg or 17 Mach 4 cases, so I got a pack of very small tipped foam applicators off TEMU, and those fit into both the 20 and 17 caliber necks. No wood or fiber dowel to soak up the Neolube, so it goes a long ways.

similar to mine but mine has no point on the tip. I've been using the same swab now for about 4 years. I dont want oil anywhere near my primers and powder.

I’ve been using a homemade version that cost virtually nothing as I cannot source Neolube #2 {cannot go through the mail and I assume that is because of solvent issues}
I put about 1/2 teaspoon of ultra fine lock graphite in a small jar {baby food or the like} add just enough Isopropyl alcohol to make a fluid mix and apply it to the inside necks of my cases before using a mandrel that now never has brass deposit to be cleaned off and I can tell that the seating force is much less as well.
Just using a good old Q-tip that lives inside the jar and ready when ever I need it. The flat bottom of the jar makes it stable and I just line up the cases in a loading block with an old towel to catch any “Oops!”. I do always load with Nitrile gloves that reduce the amount of “Known by the state of Californication to cause Cancer” absorption and keeps the clean brass shiny and clean away from my finger sweat and primers not exposed to any skin oil.
The first cases are ready to use by the time I finish the last one in the block as the alcohol dries quickly.
I have used the dry lube stuff and not had good results, scratching in the neck area if using for neck sizing {I believe that is is due to micro pieces of the ceramic balls used as a carrier} and of course you wind up with graphite on the outside of the neck as well and that has to be wiped off with the associated mess…
