Neolube #2

I use it. Whats your question ?

It helps to seat the bullets when carbon doesn't exist on the inside of the neck (new brass, brass that has been washed etc). If there is carbon on the inside of the neck, there is no reason to use neolube.
How are you applying it to the necks?

Purchased small foam q-tips from amazon

^^^^ this. It also helps with consistent bullet release which can help to stabilize ES numbers and prevent bullet weld IME. I also apply it with foam swabs as @Poor Shot 65 said. They come in sizes small enough to fit in 22 cal necks easier than cotton swabs.

I have it and use it.

I have found that for me it is very similar to anti-seize. Once I open it, I'm going to get it on the q-tip, on my loading bench, on my fingers, possibly on my shirt, and finally inside of the case neck.

Maybe I am a hamfisted Neanderthal, but the lid to my Neolube looks like the lid to my anti-seize. I suspect it isn't the brush inside of the containers and I will keep telling myself that.

Ordinary cotton swabs, BUT I use the ones with cotton only at one end. Why? Cheaper, and when I try to use normal ones with cotton at both end, I end up with NeoLube all over my hand.
Same (6 inch stick with cotton on one end). I tend to get 10 necks coated with a single dip. And, I’ve used the SAME swab for weeks, just let it dry between uses. The Neolube is silly expensive, so i’m silly stingy when it comes to the swabs. (kidding, of course) o_O

First thing I do with my Neolube bottles is cut that brush off. I have never used it as it way to big and it sort of flings the stuff all over the place when you try to get it out of the bottle, without spilling it.

It’s incredible stuff, I use it on every single case I load as a lube for seating. I fully believe that it gives you a much more consistent release of the bullet.

I use it for every single reload. It goes into the neck (with this SWAB) just before my mandrel step, and the residual is perfect for my bullet seating (I use an AMP Press). It's awesome ... don't reload without it.
I assume your measuring bullet seating pressure with your AMPS Press? Could you lube a few cases with a good coat of auto engine oil and tell us if there is a difference in seating pressure compared to Neolube or other lubes. I would be interested in the results. Petroleum oil has good film strength. I have always rolled my cases on a pad with a synthetic petroleum based oil. I use very little force sizing cases. I like real data.

I use neolube on all my necks. I built a holder for it from wood that is a simple 6” block, 8/4 thick with a hole in the center. One side of the hole has a round 45deg groove in it so I can sit the bottle upright or tilt the bottle and not spill any. I also cut the stupid brush off the top and just use the top as a cap. I don’t like spilling it on everything. Wipe the outside of the brass afterward with rubbing alcohol to clean up the spills if you are messy like me.

I've had the same thought; how does Neolube compare to something like Mobil1? It's a moot question because Mobile1 (or anything like it) is not suitable for inside neck lube, but, it'd be interesting to see the difference. I don't use an AMP seater but it's similar, I may just fiddle with it and see what the differences are, us retired guys are always up for staying busy ;) .

Just looking at the data, Neolube #2 has a k-factor (coefficient of friction) of 0.19 which is very similar to light machine oil. K-Factor isn't something that is calculated for motor oil.
