DEON announces the March-X 8-80X56 HM WA X "MAJESTA" with videos

I believe all the reticles for the Majesta are etched reticles, including the W-dot and similar. In the prior March-X scopes, there were essentially two models: one with etched reticles and one with wired reticles. DEON could swap reticles for each model, but always stating with that type of reticle. So a wired reticle could only be swapped for another wired reticle, and an etched reticle could only be swapped for an etched reticle. In the Majesta, there are no wired reticles, or so I believe.

You're very welcome @RKS. I completely agree with you, at these eye-watering prices you want to know as much as possible about the product. This has to be one of the most tested riflescopes ever put out by DEON and it already has a proven track record: Gary Costello in Europe and Tim Vaught in the US have used it to obtain excellent results.

I installed the prototype on my F-TR rig yesterday and sighted it in in preparation for the 1000-yard match next weekend. It works just for me. Reviewing your question, I wonder what kind of sadomasochistic lunatic would be shooting F-TR in free recoil. I shudder to even think about it. I will state upfront that I am a recoil wuzz. I love shooting, I hate recoil-induced (or any other form of) pain. I hug my Arrowbee, and it treats me "gently".

You will have noticed that the W series of reticle is a repitition of many of the existing MTR reticles. The MTR-3, 4 and 5, came sometime after the MTR-1 and 2. In fact, my first March scope is a March-X 5-50X56 which started life with an MTR-2 reticle about 10 years ago. I used it for many years and then in 2019, I notices that my eyesight had deteriorated to the point I could no longer see the central dot on the MTR-2. By that time, DEON had released the MTR3, 4 and 5 reticles, the thicker versions. I sent my scope to DEON and they replaced the MTR-2 with an MTR-5 for a couple hundred dollars and I had it back within a month. The same scope that was perfect for my vision as a young man, was not perfect for my vision as an old geezer. DEON can easily swap the reticle for a SFP design at any time.

It's nice to know that when you spend that much money for a scope it will last a very long time. The March-X 5-50X56 is on my backup F-TR rifle, still going strong.

So, I would say there is a very good chance there will be the equivalent of the MTR-3 and MTR-5 for the Majesta. Just give them time, and at least get the production started. Oh, and also to make sure they do not forget, tell them directly. Go to the website, click on "Contact Us" and fill out the form and tell them you need the thicker reticle.

I had to look up sadomasochistic...LoL.

Will have to try one someone else's, if they let me, before I decide about this scope.

I guess March will give that big Valdada Terminator a run for it’s money, with more magnification. And “mo money”.

I wonder if March still has that one engineer single handily assembling each scope, ( those of you who have been around a while will get the joke);)

DEON has posted a couple of videos about the new MTR-WFD F-class reticle available for the Majesta on their YouTube channel.

The first one is a short video describing the Majesta and the reticle, no audio.

The second one is a longer video with a conversation between Tim Vaught and me describing the F-class reticle and how to use it in a competition.

Again, this is a first in the industry with DEON releasing a reticle specifically designed for F-Class. Of course, the reticle can be used for any other high precision shooting disciplines.

I'm an old guy, be 74 in September. I followed your link to March's website, and did not see what I would call a "standard" reticle. By that I mean crosshairs from top to bottom as well as the wide ones you showed. I live in SW Idaho, and I mostly have shot Rockchucks as far away as I could see them. Stepped up over the years, to occasional shots out to 1000 yards. State of the art in the early 80's was a 6.5-20 Leupold Premier Reticle boosted to an 18-48.

So, is there to be a standard reticle for us longer distance shooters?

thank you, you may PM me if you wish.

Last week in Nuremburg, Germany, the annual IWA Outdoors Classic show took place. It's like the European version of SHOT show and they bill it as the world's leading Trade Fair for hunting, shooting sports, etc. Whatever "leading" means.

At any rate, Marchscopes Europe had a booth there and DEON sent them at least one Majesta as a demo at the show. This is the final version, and it is now in production. They call the finish of the scope, titanium. I like that, a lot. It is very distinctive. You can see pictures of the booth, where the Majesta stands out at the March website.

There is also a video interview with Gary Costello of Marchscopes UK and Europe, talking about the Majesta.

The Majesta just entered production earlier this month. They should start shipping shortly. These riflescopes are all hand-made and Deon is a small outfit.

I am not a benchrester so I don't know what kind of reticle they favor. Perhaps one with colorful pinwheels and floating ribbons. Who knows with these people?

That said, there is quite a panoply of wide-angle reticles available for the Majesta and you can look at them and figure out the one that would best suit you. I know which one I want.

They are not out as turbulent turtle has said. I have one on order and to my understanding it will be a couple of months before the first run is shipped. I also don't know what reticle bench rest guys use.

Why isnt this listed under commercial sales by sponsors? Turtle is clearly marketing a scope and never said he isnt associated with march. They can sell a $4500 scope but too cheap to be a sponsor here?

Euro Optic has stock as of right now, 1st October 2023..
$4,322.50.... I so want one!!!
Sorry son, you are NOT going to collage this year... Unless you pay your own way...

Champion explanation Turbulent Turtle, especially the audio clip.

I hope you have better luck with Euro Optic than I did when I bought mine. Great scope, never got to use it tho. Very disappointed with there Customer Service. Nothing like buying a new scope for $4683 and getting a used one thats has 2 scratched on it and a box that’s been beat up. 3 of the comers of the box was ripped with one of them being a inside corner that was taped back together. The box was not sealed in any way when I received it. Still waiting for a refund. Not happy with them at all.
