20BRAI

I tried the Blackhole 52, & 62gr at 600yds… not gonna happen..
The 55 Berger is longer & slicker, I believe the rebated boat tail on the Blackhole bullets has an effect on the bullets at 600yds…

I'm using a Curtis Vector with an AW mag. I installed an HRD mag kit and tuned the feedlips, lots of trial and error. This coyote season I maybe had one or two hiccups but more user error than anything. Have to commit to running the bolt aggressively.

I likely wouldn't do it again. For a fur harvesting rig I'm not sold on the Berger 55gr bullets.

What won’t you do again?

What’s your experience with the 55 gr Bergers?

Wouldn't build a 20BRA to shoot the Berger 55gr bullets for a fur harvesting rig.

Bullets sometimes pencil through, not really forgiving on raking shots. Taking care of feeding issues.

Ive found the BIB 40gr bullet to be potentially more forgiving and a better fur harvesting bullet for my all around shooting conditions. Also wouldnt need a 6BR parent case to drive them and screw around with feeding. A 20 Tac, Practical, or a 20/223 AI.

I have since acquired several barrels, and distributed the out…:p let a couple guys use my reamer..

I’m shooting my kreiger 1.250” straight now in 600yd BR ( well in 2022 was my last yr I shot), somehow life gets in the way to attend matches.. it seems like.

Robertson stock, Bat SV action
I’ve got into short range NBRSA , plan on taking a 20BRAI barrel that will make 10.5lb.. to cheat that 200yd wind..lol..it always gets me !!!

Got it out yesterday, during the rain breaks, 30.18 & 31.26gr of 203B/RL15 , .009” jam set it 3657fps…

I’ve forgotten how fun it is !!!! I’ve been loading up my varmint rifle, so the other 20 has to be ready for competition, cause ya never know when I can get away…hope to make a few more matches this yr, sure isn’t looking like it so far…
