I finally had time to get my new HV kreiger barrel screwed on, Tim Claunch did the chamber.

I tried some varget powder for the first time in it.

Cam you send me the reamer print? You are using no turn Lapua cases right?

Same as a 6BRAI… I use a Whiddengunworks.375

Keep it up Gabe,it’s pioneers like you that resist going main stream that may be the reason Berger still offers the 55 once a year.I often think about a 50-52 V-Max or Blitz poly tip.Imagine if Bart’s or Bib offered a heavy match bullet,you would open a lot more eyes to 20’s

Truth.
A poly tipped VLD around 50 grains would be the berries.

Would so love to whack a distant rockchuck with a 50 poly tip from my 20 Dasher.I tested with the now gone 50 Berger and the speed and accuracy where very impressive.I always felt 50 grains was the perfect weight for the bigger 20s,still fast like a 17 but more umph! Any heavier and you might as well shoot a 22. The 55 Berger is very nice but never captured my heart like their 50,Perhaps next barrel will be twisted a little faster than my 9,definitely will be a 20BRAI

From my experience and I know others on here a 9 with the 55's is plenty and accuracy wise too.
