Your the first one with a 9 ive heard of that the 55's didn't work in a 9. I know a guy who shot them in a 10 at higher elevation just to see if they would stabilize and they did and shot well.

Sherm, attached is a group from a few years ago out of my 20-22/250 with the Berger 55 gr 20 cal bullet. It is a 10-twist Krieger bbl shot at 4500' elevation. I've shot this load all the way up tp 7,000' altitude with no problems. Several PD kills over a 1000 yds. Longest was two years ago at 1,135 yds. I switched to H-4350 a few years back. 7315br

I'm going to retract my comment. My 9 twist shoots 55gr extremely well. My 6BR hates 105 gr it is too slow of twist. Thank you for calling me out. I haven't shot either in 9-10 years. I'm just getting back into the shooting world after a long departure from it.

Like 7 MOA up from a 100yd zero to be on at 600yds?
Compared to a 11moa up from 100yd zero to be on at 600yds?..
Or the wind drift?
Berger has a calculator for the 55gr bullets flying at 3800fps…

When speaking about vertical I was referring to shooting at a water line and how well the 20 cal version shoots vs the 6 cal version.

I have a 22 dasher that does not hold vertical as tight as the 6 dasher version.

wondering if similar findings are seen with the BRA.

Neither of my rigs are pure Benchrest rifles. One was built for prs style shooting, the other for shooting coyotes. Both loads in both rifles are capable of single digit extreme spreads. Both serve different purposes.

Depends on how good you are at tuning, keeping a barrel in tune through out a match.

I used Lapua for this test, had 6 firings on them..
I got some OCD Alpha BRAI necked down for the next barrel..

If you have a BRAI- just need a 230 bushing for your die, ( I use a Harrell’s) and a 20BR seater reamed or a 20Dasher seater

How is the Alpha brass dimension wise compared to the 6BR brass at the web.
