hobo oil

Just received mine and put on one of my Panda bolts. The bolt was already pretty slick, even dry but the Hobo oil made it feel like it was riding ball bearings! I'm gonna try it next on resizing some cases.
Thanks Bryant,

Lloyd

Doing a little PM work today and cleaned the ram on my 1972 rockchucker. Lubed with Hobo Oil and it is really smooth now. Also put some on the cutter shaft of the case trimmer and it works equally well there.

funny, I did the same. lubed press ram ( later than 1972!) and case trimmer. This oil is superb. Goldilocks formula. not too thick, not too thin just right. Bet AR's run with it.
I think this fella is onto something.

glad you like it, and, I agree:)

I tried it and I’m liking it. It’s thin, slick and stays on well. Actually first coat brought old grease up, and wiped it off with rag. Then applied a thin second coat and it really slicked the bolt up. Kinda smells good too!

I wanted to wait a while before I gave a review to see how many things Hobo oil is good for. I bought three bottles last month. Granted there are some things that you want to use a thicker lube on but I haven't found anything it doesn't reduce friction and improve cycling on. A little goes a long way and it never seems to get sticky like some other lubricants.

I ordered some hobo oil last month, received it promptly and used it to lube the bolt in the 17hmr. Seemed to help smooth the bolt out but have not had a chance to take it to the range yet.

Wife was complaining about the MBR door squealing/squeaking when I would close the door when I get up early when I can't sleep or have something to do. I took the hinge pins out one at a time, wiped the crud off with a paper towel, and applied a bit of hobo oil to each, wiped the pins down again to get any excess off and re-installed the pins back into the hinges (3). NOW, the damn door will not stay in the open position and she is complaining about the possibility of walking into the edge of the door in the dark. I can push the completely door open, hold it for a second or two and release it. Damn door closes to the halfway position everytime. :( Cannot win.

Has anybody tried it in sub zero temps? Afraid to use it on my hunting rifle and have the bolt freeze.

Dusty if you find some ripple, i want a bottle of pagan pink! (boy that stuff was bad!)

Pagan Pink? Circa 1972, I'd get a bottle, grab an early edition of The Miami Herald after my 7-11 shift on Sat night, go back to my Homestead AFB barracks room (a single) and read until I had to go in on Sun, depending. Abt 35 hrs a week. Memory Lane for sure.
