After reading Dusty's post about Hobo Oil and watching the various replies, I decided to give it a try to see what all the fuss was about. All I can say is if you haven't tried it, you are missing out.
I have used it on the bolts of my Remingtons, Savage (both bolt and a Savage 87D semi-auto), Browning T Bolt, the actions of my various Ruger #1s, the cylinder pins of all my revolvers and slides on my various auto pistols. In EVERY case functioning improvement and friction reduction was remarkable. The most impressive improvement was a Springfield '03 made in 1917 and long-since sporterized. Amazingly accurate, it was a pain to run the bolt no matter what oils or "miracle" grease I tried. It now runs smooth as silk (other than the normal wobble of those old guns) without the annoying "hitches" along the way.
Thanks to Dusty and all who took the time to educate us about such a great product!
